The Beach

The Girl was waiting for her best friend Charlotte.  Sat on the stairs, just waiting.

Finally she came through the door, her bright coloured clothes contrasting The Girls grey ones.  Her red cheeks and bright eyes lit up as she bounced through the door.  Her face full of excitement and anticipation.  The Girl just sat there, no excitement, no anticipation.

Charlotte and her mum had come to collect The Girl for a day out at the beech. Charlotte had been planning it for a long time and was very excited.  They were in the car, Charlotte's mum; Eleanor was sat in the front seat, her short legs twitching up and down like a school girl waiting for home time.
"Are you excited?"  She asked, in her full, high pitched voice.  Her roux lips a spitting image of Charlotte's.  Directing her question to The Girl.

"If Charlotte is."  The Girl answered simply, her answer for almost everything.  Eleanor just smiled, she knew that would be the response she would get but she wouldn't let anything deter her good mood.

On the beach the two girls were making sand castles.  Charlotte made a big flamboyant one, with shells as windows and a moat with a bridge around it.  Eleanor smiled at her, whilst Charlotte's younger sister buried her mums feet in the sand, laughing and giggling.  The Girl used her bucket and made three identical castles.  Then she sat there watching her friend and looking out at the sea.

"Do you want an ice-cream?"  Charlotte suggested, realising her friend wasn't doing anything.  She raised her voice to overcome the strong breeze.  Her question was answered with shrugged shoulders.  "Come on then!"  Charlotte said jumping to her feet.  The Girl followed after Charlotte had hugged her mum, something The Girl would never do.

"What would you like?"  The man behind the ice-cream stall asked The Girl.
"What ever Charlotte's having"  Was his only reply.
"Two strawberry please"  Charlotte said, grinning at the man.

He handed the girls their ice-creams and they went to sit on the grass by the stall.
"Why don't you take your jumper of, you can't be cold?"
"I'm fine"  The Girl said plainly, and went back to eating her ice-cream, not engaging in conversation.  No gossip.

Once they had finished Charlotte skipped off to her mum, happily shouting back at her friend to follow.  The Girl followed.  Emotionless.

Yeah, all the chapters end in emotionless, there will be a sad bit in this story but it doesn't end like that.  I hope you enjoy it :)
