This is my first purchase of luxury yarn. The alpaca are raised in Colorado and the fiber is turned into yarn here in the USA. It's $16.99, that's a little over 4xs the cost of acrylic yarn. There is also 164 less yards per skein. Costly. I hope I have enough of this luxury yarn to make a set of leg warmers. I thought I could also use acrylic on the ribbed part at the ankle. I have 800 yards of rose grey, and 200 yards of white. I'm going to make them my size, I'm sure they'll be perfect for the cold winter.

The truth is, this yarn could make a perfect anything. After a half hour of using alpaca and wool, I started to realize that there were traces of rusty reddish hues. Maybe my eyes were tired? It is light weight and provides a lot of warmth. An hour and twenty six minutes pass and I think this yarn would make a perfect long sleeved top, or sweater, or shawl. It has a natural heathery grey and I love the way the double crochet stitches look. Something so simple and beautiful I thought I have to start raveling it and make some type of sweater. I have 1000 yards of yarn. I could make a beautiful Gwendolyn Cowl by Living Skies.
