I am so lucky to announce that I got a crochet order for a special pair of leg warmers inspired by Harley Quin, using my one of a kind leg warmer pattern. I choose a bigger hook since this project can take any where from 6 - 10 hours.
Lentgh: 19 inches
Ch. 70 w/ 5.5 mm hook (after completing the first row it measured 20 inches.)
Row 1: dbl crochet in each st, ch. 1 and turn
Row 2: ship first ch, slip stitch in each st across until last stitch.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you reach desired calf size.
I like to time myself because I think I crochet so fast. Time just goes by, and sometimes it feels like it's been forever but it's only been 15 minutes.
22 minutes later...
At this rate, Ill finish one leg warmer in 4 hours?
4 days later....
I bought two skeins of acrylic from the same brand, same 4 ply worsted weight yarn, however after 11 rows, one is an inch wider. I like to account that acrylic yarn has stretch, so I'll make it a little less than 13.5 inches.
The red one has 15 double crochet rows. It will definately stretch up to that size. It's so soft too.
Sometimes acrylic yarn can feel like plastic but this is good quality. It measured 11 inches. Remember Alison's was made the same way, she had 15 inch calf, and told me it was a "little tight."Calf: 13.5
Knee: 15 inches
This is a Harley Quin inspired look, and I found this picture of the cartoon.
I'm a Batman fan.
I've finished the leg warmers but I accidentally screwed up. I had it write the first time and even photographed it. I'm literally so distraught I didn't realize until it was too late - I'll show you in the pictures my error. I guess I have to live with my mistake, my boyfriend told me it was still pretty but I'm still very bummed out about it.
Also, here is the link that I use for the diamond shapes. It took two small triangles and sewn them together.

I have one more pair of leg warmers and I won't be doing any more until the winter. These take a really long time and a lot of yarn, I'd rather just sell the pattern.
