"Most people charge up the ass for crochet!" Melody was the first person who purchased my leg warmers. $25 plus $5 s + h. They no longer are that price and my formula calculates the hours I put into each piece. This formula changes, but I prevent myself from lowering my prices my work is beautiful and expertly handcrafted. I am still learning though and I want the people who buy my work to be completely satisfied. The ones she bought did not have elastic in them - so they are slouchy. Still super cozy, I wanted her to have a pair that stayed up. This week I've worked a little over 8 hours (I also have a full time job) on my crochet, typically the weekends I work that same amount. I also couldn't help myself and promised a few more trades: a crystal choker, a black floral top, a burgundy cardigan, a tan crop top, and a black maxi skirt. I own a lot of the clothes I've had for a really really long time and I'm really trying to consciously build a wardrobe of essentials and items that fit me well, are in good condition, and compliment my vibes.  "Out with the old, in with the new." My friend Spliffany, who introduced me to the Gypsy Exchange. I also find that both parties are happier with trades than with money, because my work is worth a lot to me but also some things mean a lot to others. The beauty of trades is the people genuinely want what I have created.

I've added more to my long list of Work In Progress (WIP's):

- The Little Mermaid Tail (not to mention how badly I want my own mermaid tail.)

-Melody's Very Long Legwarmers

- Jessica's elf ear warmer and kitty ear warmer

-Riley's Olive Green Leg Warmers

Already, the hours are adding up before my eyes. Not on the list are the people I want to make Christmas gifts for.

- Ellie's Burgandy Leg Warmers

Oh, and did I mention how badly I wanted a mermaid tail??

I'm thinking how I'm going to do all this when I don't have a lot of ENERGY. Simply don't feel like crocheting today. I'd like to design some of my own things and not feel the anxiety of pending orders.
