(r.s)
it wasn't a normal day, no. when the sky was clear and the clouds could twist around my finger tips, i could feel it would be great.
the sun was still stretching over the view of the skyscrapers, knowing it's mark wouldn't be made today with the stubbornness of the dull brick on the hard walls. nonetheless the sky danced with joy in celebration of their clear day.
my lips curl into a smile and i let my hands frase over my hair, a mess that would have to be gained for the public eye. the sun stared at me and i decided to look right back at it. though it stung and it was too much for me, i let the sun win our contest.
as soon as my feet hit the floor i felt a cold go through my body and i was wide awake. my back was burning, the sun couldn't wait to see me.
the blue sky competed with my own eyes and i'd decided the sky had put mine to shame.
in a matter of half an hour i was ready to take another pointless stroll on my block, holding up my camera to the cool beads of accumulating water on the sides of my glass of water. the clinking of ice against glass sure to ease me into a state of zen.
it wasn't chilly, but appropriate enough to wear a sweatshirt. my camera was gripped firmly in my hands and i tapped on the plastic cover, the way flesh met material was music to my ears.
finally outside, where art always takes a spin on life. we are all art, and the day shows it.
gorgeous day, gorgeous people, gorgeous opportunity.
the click of the camera isn't odd and no one is surprised when they see at least 40 pictures of my closest friends, the blinding sun and the moody sky.
