(Reader's POV)
This bed is surprisingly comfy and the room actually isn't all too bad. It's pretty big and it looks like pure royalty lived in this bedroom. The bed I was laying on was considerably large and the mattress was surprisingly soft and warm. Maybe automatic heating?
I honestly have to admit these shackles around my wrists were not comfy. They're large, heavy and just plain medieval. And why a collar with a chain leash? I'm not someone's slave! The pain of having the heavy collar around my neck is practically unbearable. The chain wasn't even attached to anything. It was literally dragging on the ground.
I slipped my fingers between the collar and my neck, pulling slightly on the object around my sore neck. I should ask someone to take it off or something. I sat up and sighed. Not much to do in a place like this.
I got up and walked over to the door. I leaned over to touch it and jumped back suddenly as it automatically opened. Are you seriously telling me it was unlocked this whole time?
I peeked my head out the door- looking left and right- checking for anyone who might catch me. No one so far. I stepped out of the room, dragging the chain behind me as it made horrible screeching sound on the metal floor.
Damn it! If that chain continues to make that sound someone will find me!
I lifted up the chain and held it so it wouldn't make much noise. Walking through the hallways was a pain. There were many of them and I had no sense of direction, especially in a place like this.
I stopped at a doorway and it suddenly opened. To my surprise, there was a monster waiting for me on the other side. At least, that's what I assume. The monster looked like a anthropomorphic brown, floppy-eared dog and managed to be just a little smaller than me in height. It was honestly adorable. I've never seen a monster this cute.
It looked up as it noticed the doors open and my figure in the doorway. It suddenly stood up and stared at me.
"Y-you should be back in your r-room!" It said to me.
"Oh. But I don't want to be in that room." I replied, "I want to leave."
It walked towards me and put his hands on my shoulders, swiftly turning my body around and pushing me in the direction I came from.
"Y-you must stay. I'll take you back to your room." It said, pushing me with little force. "M-master Boros would be scarily mad if we let you run away."
'Scarily mad'? Awe, it's so adorable, even it's words are accidentally cute.
"Please miss..." It said as we walked back into the bedroom I was in once before. "Stay here."
It let go of my shoulders and turned to walk away.
"Wait!" I said.
It stopped and turned to look at me.
"Yes, miss?" It replied.
"Can you take off my collar and shackles, please? They're very uncomfortable." I asked.
"I-I can't, miss. It's forbidden to us followers of Boros."
"But they're incredibly uncomfortable. And how am I meant to get comfortable here if I've got these around my joints?"
"So, that means you'll stay if I take them off?"
"Sure."
"Alright then. I guess it wouldn't hurt if you plan to stay."
I sat down on the bed and waited. It walked back over to me and put it's paws up to the collar, unlocking it and taking it off. It did the same with the shackles around my wrists and placed them neatly in the corner of the room.
"Thank you." I said, rubbing my wrists and neck.
"You're welcome." It replied.
"What's your name?"
"M-my name?"
"Yea."
"It's Xendus. My name is Xendus."
"Well, it's nice to meet you Xendus." I smiled.
It gave a soft smile back.
"Can I just say that you look like a dog." I giggled.
"What's a dog?" Xendus replied, confused.
"A dog is an animal that many of us humans keep as pet's."
"Pet's?"
"Pet's are a tamed animal that are kept for companionship."
"I see. And I resemble one of these 'pet's' known as the 'dog'?"
"Exactly."
"I...I understand. Please tell me more."
Xendus gave me an excited look that lifted my spirits. Maybe staying here for a bit wouldn't be too bad? I think I just made a friend in this weird place. Xendus sat down on the ground and looked up at me.
"Might I ask what gender you are?" I said, trying not to be rude.
"Oh. I'm a male." Xendus replied.
"Cool. Anyway, If you'd like to know a few things about Earth- what would you like to know?"
We talked for quite a bit about a lot of different things. I was surprised that Xendus was even here considering he had barely any knowledge about Earth and it's inhabitants as well as it's history. Maybe that Boros-guy didn't tell any of his crew anything?
"If you're bored, we can play a game." Xendus suggested.
My head perked up at the idea.
"A game? What kind of game?" I asked.
"How about one where you shapeshift into something and the other person has to guess what it is?" He said.
"You mean charades? And also, humans can't shapeshift."
"Neither can I, but it'd be a cool idea, right?"
We both laughed. Xendus was pretty funny. I didn't think monsters and aliens had a sense of humour. I guess you do learn something new everyday.
"We could play 'Tag' or something?" I suggested.
"Sounds fun. Let's do that. We can run around the halls, but try not to bump into anyone, especially master-Boros." He replied.
"Well then," I got off the bed and walked over to him, "TAG! YOU'RE IT!"
I ran off and into the hallways, Xendus following closely behind. He quickly caught up and tagged me on my shoulder.
"TAG! YOU'RE IT NOW!" He yelled as he ran away from me.
"Dammit! I'll get you!" I yelled, laughing.
Xendus was a lot faster than me, but I wasn't one to give up in a game of "Tag". I suddenly felt really dizzy and I began to slow down quickly. I placed my hand on my forehead and leaned my back against the cold metal wall, sliding down onto the floor. Xendus looked back at me and began running towards me. He kneeled down next to me and held my hand.
"You okay, miss?" He asked.
"Um...I don't know." I replied.
