I face palmed my self, looking at Sadie again, her face read shocked. "I can't believe he heard me." She said, my jaw still dropped.
"I can't believe he actually had the nerve to come over here and he just makes me so mad.." I trailed off.
How could someone make me so mad after knowing them for a day and I don't even know him that well! I only know his name and that he is a rude, obnoxious absolutely terrible person.
I sighed and gulped down my hot chocolate. I needed to get my mind off of the mysterious blonde boy that fills it. Sadie told me she had to run to work and I have her a quick hug goodbye.
I walked to the counter and looked at Ellington. "Thank you." I smiled brightly.
"For what?" He asked politely, eyebrows raised.
"For calling me beautiful."
"Oh, yeah..I was just uhm stating the obvious." he runs his hand over the back of his neck nervously, taking his bottom lip in between his teeth. I couldn't help but stare, the lip biting was extremely sexy to me.
"That's really sweet, I'm glad my friend dragged me here today, otherwise I wouldn't of met you."
Ellington flushed, he was super hot without even trying. "I'm glad I met you too, hey, um..I get off work in a few minutes, would you like to hang out?"
"Of course I would!" I gushed.
I waited patiently at a table while Ellington finished up his shift. He went in the back, removing his apron and walking out to the front. He had jeans on with high tops and a long sleeve shirt that wasn't too tight or too loose.
"So where would you like to go?" he smiled.
"How about we go bowling?" I offered. "That sounds great! I love bowling I used to play it with my dad all the time."
"Me too! Lets go then." I smiled.
He led me to his car and we small talked the whole ride there. When we arrived he paid for everything. He was a gentleman, unlike Riker, he was probably taking advantage of some poor girl right now.
I seriously needed to stop, I was thinking of him again and I don't even know him. I grabbed a ball and walked to our lane. El set up the screen and he made me first. "Go on Maddie, have a go at it." He smile, giving my a big thumbs up. I giggled and rolled the ball, it went straight into the gutter and I face palmed, Ellington was in the back laughing. I put hands up and walked to the bench. "I give up already, I'm so bad."
"You aren't that bad!" Ellington argued sarcastically. "I didn't even get one pin down, I'm pretty bad."
"You are pretty bad." Ellington agreed, laughing. I laughed with him and he went, getting a strike. I was astonished, "Great technique, bravo!" I clapped and he took a bow causing a giggle to escape my lips again.
I grabbed my ball again and went up to the lane, looking back at Ellington, I shrugged at him and he got up walking over to me, "Mind if I?" "Oh, no not at all." He wrapped one hand around my waist and the other around my arm with the ball, he pulled it up and swung it. The ball went straight and I got a strike. I clapped and turning around, throwing my arms around him and pressing a soft kiss to his cheek. His eyes widened and I stepped back. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to-"
He started laughing and I looked at him confused, "Don't apologize," he laughed, "If I beautiful girl gives a guy a kiss on the cheek the last thing
he wants is an apology."
"Oh, I'm sorry for apologizing then?" My face turned a deep red as I giggled. "Apology excepted."
We finished bowling and Ellington won, obviously. He gave me a ride home and I smiled at him as I sat in the passenger side. "I had a really great time to day, Ellington."
"So did I and please, call me Ratliff, that's what my friends call me." He flashed his perfect smile.
"Ratliff, okay. Thanks for everything, I better get going."
"Right, I'll see you around then?"
"I'll see you around then." I repeated his words and I got out of the car, walking up to my door and waving goodbye. I walked inside and my mom was passed out on the couch, I wasn't sure what that was all about, she probably had a migraine like she always does. I went into my room and the window was open..I flashed on the lights and there was nobody there. I furrowed my brow and looked around, was there someone in my house?
