I groaned loudly hearing my mother's voice coming from the living room. I walked out to her, running my hair through my hair quickly. "Who the hell is this?" She screamed at me. "Mother, calm down. He's my guest, he's not leaving so, Riker this is my mother and my mother this is Riker." I said, quickly reaching down and grabbing Riker's arm, pulling him up off the couch and into my bedroom. "Well she seems absolutely lovely." Riker laughed. I nodded and sat down on my bed. "So why did you help me I don't understand." Riker asked. He was finally letting his guard down slightly. I looked over his face trying to read his expression.
"I don't really know, I mean you were hurt. It was my gut instinct, what happened to you anyways?" I asked quickly.
"Don't even."
"What did I do now?"
"Don't ask me about me, you don't need to know anything about me okay, you got that?"
"You're living in my house I think I deserve to know at least why you can't live in your ow--"
"Shut the hell up." Riker waved me off. He walked to my window and looked out it. "Whatever, I don't give a fuck anyway."
I ran into the bathroom and I called Sadie and told her everything about Riker staying at my house and she freaked out. "Did you two have sex?" "No! He is so rude, that won't be happening, ever." I mumbled. "You like him, don't you?" Sadie asked. "No, Sadie, I'm dating Ratliff. I like Ratliff."
"Whatever you say, he pushes your buttons and you like it, I know you do. Oh, um I have to go see you." Sadie hung up before I could say goodbye.
I walked slowly back to my bedroom, Riker was looking at a picture I had of Ratliff and I. "Get away from that." I said. "We're going out tonight, and make yourself look presentable please. Don't wear that." He scoffed, looking down at my outfit. "Nothing wrong with sweatpants okay? And I'm not going out with you."
"You are now, we'll leave soon so get ready as soon as possible."
"What are you wearing?" I asked.
"This. this is all I have and I'm not going to be borrowing your clothes so." Riker chuckled. "Well can you leave so I can change?" Riker shook his head no and I raised my eyebrows at him. "Why not?"
"I am not going to go out there and be yelled at by that devil woman again."
I rolled my eyes and looked at Riker, walking to my closet. "Okay well cover your eyes then." I mumbled.
Riker put his hands over his eyes, I knew he could see through his fingers so I put on a show for him. I picked out a red dress that went down to my knees, I bought it for prom but I never ended up going anyway. I slowly removed my shirt, my hair falling down over my shoulder after I take it off. "So, Riker, How's this dress?" I held it out to the side of me, my shirt laying on the ground and my bra visible, he removed his hands and licked over his bottom lip, he crossed his legs and I laughed softly. "Jesus, don't get too excited."
"I'm not, um that..yeah that should be good." he stuttered. I laughed and put it on over my head, taking my jeans off underneath it. "So I'm good?" I asked once more. "Yeah, you're alright."
I nodded and sat down next to him. He looked over at me, his legs still crossed, his hands resting in his lap. I placed my hand upon his shoulder, leaning forward to whisper into his ear. "Now, you ever look at me when I tell you not to again, I'll hurt you."
Riker nodded and put his hands up, signifying what I assume is surrendering. He quickly stands up and takes my hand, pulling me quickly our of the house, my mother staring at us in bewilderment. I pulled my arm away from him, placing it at my side as we walked. "Where are we going?" I asked quietly. "You'll find out when we get there."
"But I don't trust you, so just tell me." I ran in front of him, pushing on his chest to keep him from walking. "Look, can you please just stop talking for 10 minutes." Riker mumbled, pushing me to the side and walking away from me. My eyes widened and I walked slowly behind him, suddenly feeling stupid in the dress I was wearing.
Riker didn't know where his car went so he just walked the whole time, never saying a word to me and never looking back at me. I sighed as we turned the corner, loud music blaring through my ears I immediately regretted helping him because I could be in my house reading right now. "Now, please actually be normal, I don't want my friends to think I'm crazy for bringing a stuck up bitch to meet them okay?"
I just nodded, tears slightly threatening to spill out from my eyes. I walked into the club with him, my heart beat growing faster. I followed Riker to a small group of 6 people. The blonde girl from Riker's apartment was there with them. I furrowed my brow as I looked at all of them. There was a girl with dark brown hair and multiple piercings on her lip, a boy with chestnut hair that fell right under his ears. There was another blonde boy there, his eyes moved to mine as I looked around. I moved my eyes to the two other girls, one with dark red hair, obviously fake and an eyebrow piercing and another with tattoos filling her body, her hair fell below her shoulders, as black as the night. I didn't fit in with any of them.
Riker looked at me for the first time the whole night, "This is Maddie, Maddie this is Rocky, Ross, Rydel, Paige, Mariska and Jenna." Riker sat down beside the one named Paige and i was being eyes by all of them.
"So who is she, just another girl for you to take advantage of?" Ross asked, looking at me, his words obviously pointed towards Riker. i sighed uncomfortably. Riker waved Ross off and looked at Paige, pulling her legs onto his lap. I stood awkwardly, "Come here, lovely." Ross patted beside him and I sat down quickly. He looked over at me, his smile widening. "I'm Ross." He grabbed my hand, bringing it to his mouth to press a soft kiss to it. I blushed deeply and turned my head from him to Riker, his lips pressed against the girls cheek. I rolled my eyes and looked back at Ross. "Um, do you like to dance?" I asked shyly. "Of course, and with someone like you, even better." He stood and took my hand, pulling me up. I followed behind him. I turned around once, blowing a kiss to Riker, laughing quietly. My hand found there way to Ross' shoulders and I danced along with him go the music. I wasn't used to the whole dancing with guys thing because I've never been to a club but I think I was doing it right. I turned around and pressed myself against him, my hands wrapping around his neck, I turned my head against his body, moving my hips against his. He pressed a kiss to my neck and I closed my eyes, letting the music intoxicate me.
A few hours and a few drinks later I was piss drunk and I didn't know what I was doing there or anything. Rydel sat me down and tried to have a conversation with me about Riker, telling me to try to stay away from him. I nodded but I didn't really pay much more attention to her after that. I went back to Ross, he made me feel safe, something Riker couldn't do.
I sat on his lap and he laughed at me, my hands resting around his neck. "What's wrong?" I asked. Ross shrugged and places his arms protectively around my waist. "Nothing, you're just nothing like what Riker told me you were like."
I looked at him confusingly, removing my hands from his neck, I got up and looked for Riker, my hands running through my hair slowly. I wobbled to the bathroom, suddenly not feeling well. I opened the door and I saw Riker and Paige. She straddled him, her shirt off. All of the noise around me seemed to stop and everything was moving in slow motion, I tried to swallow the lump in my throat but it didn't work, I needed up vomiting all over the bathroom floor, Paige and Riker quickly turning to look at me in shock. I ran out of the bathroom and out of the stupid night club. My mind filled with thoughts that shouldn't be there.
And then everything was black.
