With all the variables lined up like so, I sat at the peak and wrote, "With all the variables lined up like so" and waited for them to reach me as I wrote, "and waited from them to reach me." I suddenly realized I had made a mistake. I saw the flaw in my writing. I went over the parchment again. "Morning held Chris's head and gave him an audible slap." How could he possibly do that if he had only one hand? I suppose there is only one way to fix this. That is, to come clean. I wrote, "They reached the peak." They reached the peak. From this point onwards, I think it should be quite clear that I wrote everything that happened. They were somewhat underwhelmed at my sight. I imagine they expected something more... well, more. A simple man sitting on a chair, with a table in front of him, writing something on a parchment. They were confused. Neither of them knew what was going to happen. Before any of them could speak, I spoke. "Wassup?" I asked, rather informally. They narrowed their eyes.

"How's it going?" I asked. They looked at each other. Morning spoke up first, "It's going quite well... But tell me this is just a joke. You're something more than what appearances suggest, right?" I smiled and replied, "Ah yes. I suppose you deserve a little more for all your efforts and your moderate sacrifices... very well, I will let you both in on a little secret... Morning, look at your hands." He looked at his hands. Well, "looked" is the wrong way to put it. The console flying above him zoomed in on his hands and sent the live feed to his head. He realized that they were both intact. He looked at me in shock. "I apologize for forgetting that little detail." I said, "I temporarily forgot that your hand was supposed to be gone. I do not want to change it back again since it's already fixed. It saves me the trouble of coming up with something. I know I will face serious repercussions for it but for now, the best I can do is assure you that such mistakes won't be repeated." Chris looked at the parchment on my table. He saw what I was writing on it while I spoke. "Chris looked at the parchment on my table." He read out loud. Morning sent his console towards the parchment and saw what I was writing. "You're writing down everything that's happening around you...?" he asked, "Or does everything you write happen?" I grinned and shrugged my shoulders. It was tricky to write with my shoulders like that but I managed.

Chris saw a huge pile of parchment tied up and labelled, "Universe 1". He touched it and tried to untie the knots. "What's in these?" he asked. "That's the story of the first Universe. This one here is the story of the second Universe. What we are in right now is the third Universe. Wait, too much exposition. Damn it, I must learn to show some restraint in these things. No more questions." Chris managed to read a few words from the first page of Universe 1 anyway. "Something about Rosa... Liz... Light... Adam... 40... wait a minute... Adam 40." Morning was busy examining the bundle of Universe 2. "Michael... Gabriel... Um... Kelly... this is... is this the story of Mom and dad? And... Adam 40." I sighed and said, "Not now, kid. This isn't the time for me to reveal all that. However, since you have made it all the way up here, I think it's only fair that we follow video game protocol and give you a hidden chest filled with special armour or 1000 gold coins or the odd mouse." Chris gave up trying to untie the knots and looked at Morning. Morning stepped back and said, "No thanks. I'm alright. We must go find Pony." I nodded and disappeared along with my chair and table and parchment. With my lung condition, it was a miracle I had survived that long at the peak of the mountain.

Chris looked at morning and said, "What now?" Morning shrugged and said, "I have a feeling we just met someone REALLY important. But let's go find Pony now." They turned around and began their descent. The console-drone flew after them as Morning walked. After a few steps, he realized that his legs were moving on their own. He tried to stop. He kept walking. "Stop!" he said out loud. He heard a muffled beep from the drone as his legs stopped. "Is something wrong?" Chris asked. Morning shook his head and said, "That damn doctor... I'm going to give him a piece of my mind if I ever see him again... Walk." He heard another muffled beep from the drone as his legs started moving again. Chris tilted his head in confusion and walked on. Suddenly, he heard a loud beep from the drone. It descended on him and attached itself to his forehead, covering his eyes. He was a bit relieved since this point of view was almost the same as his normal sight. However, what he was seeing was not settling in the least. It was the girl from the pit. Chris jumped behind him. "Why are you here?" he asked. She took out a knife from a very large bag on her back. "You always carry that on your back?" Morning asked, "I assume I just couldn't see it in the darkness of the pit." The girl grinned and aimed at him. "Stop!" Chris shouted, "You know it's no use! Can't we just be friends?!" The knife flew past his ear. Morning moved forward. The girl was pushed back as if an invisible barrier was pushing her back. "I observed your other fight..." the girl spoke as she drew another knife, "I know your weakness now." Chris gulped and asked, "What weakness? His... Absolute Trust area is fool proof!" The next knife whizzed past dangerously close to his shoulder. "Or is it?" she asked. Morning calmly walked towards her, pushing her backward. "Not gonna talk to me, huh?" the girl asked as she drew out six small knives and threw them all at him. They all whizzed dangerously close to Morning but none of them actually hit him. "Have you ever tried pushing a tiny leaf out of a bucket of water?" Morning asked her. "Eh?" the girl asked, "What the hell are you talking about?" Morning breathed out and continued talking.
