(I cried bc people still read this trashy fanfic 😂)

Breakfast was quite awkward. After waiting half an hour for Luke to finish his bath, Ashton finally served breakfast. Luke ran down the stairs with Michael shouting for him to "stop running before he hurts himself".

Clearly the blonde wouldn't listen and it made Calum mad. Why did the stupid boy not get punished for not listening but Calum did?

"Don't speak a word about that boy, you hear me?" Ashton had whispered before they could hear Luke running down the stairs. "We can discuss it later but don't say a damn mean word about him or you will regret it. Understood?"

Calum could only nod, swallowing hard. God, it'd only been a day and a half and he just wanted to die already. The stupid freak who wore cat ears was treated better than he was despite disobeying twice in the span of forty minutes.

Everyone fussed over the freak like he was the next big thing. Calum was better than him. Younger, too. And a virgin, which he doubted cat-freak was. He was obviously human yet the dumb blond kept meowing and nuzzling his nose against Michael's arm.

"I'm back!" cooed Luke as he grinned at everyone. He didn't have the cat ears on anymore, but he was wearing a pink jumper with a cat face on it.

It was cringe worthy, honestly. Calum couldn't believe he was in the presence of an actual moron. The blond had disobeyed multiple times and yet he got off easily. Calum had just breathed wrong and gotten snapped at.

"Aw, you're all squeaky clean now," Ashton said happily, smiling at the boy and waving him over.

Calum was jealous, that's for sure. He felt like dirt underneath Ashton's fingernails, and that wasn't fair when the other boy got treated like God's gift to the world. Fucking brat. Cal didn't deserve this, he knew that.

The final straw was snapped in Cal when Ashton set all the food out. Michael and Ash got bacon, eggs, and toast, Luke got chocolate pancakes, and Calum got plain oatmeal. It was clear he wasn't liked, and that was what pushed him over the edge. He'd only been there a couple days and he wasn't even given a chance.

As everyone sat down, Calum just stared at the ugly bowl of oatmeal that was in front of the seat he was supposed to sit in. Luke was happily eating the pancake pieces Michael cut up for him, a grin on his lips.

Then Calum was gone, running down the hallway and up the stairs as he clenched his jaw. He was leaving, he didn't care if it meant he was alone forever. He refused to be treated like shit while everyone else was spoiled.

Loud, heavy footsteps followed behind him quickly but he didn't stop. He didn't even stop when he heard Ashton's angry voice. He ran into his room and collapsed on the bed after slamming the door shut. All he wanted to do was be alone and cry.

His whole life he had been excited to finally get his dominant - one that would care for him and love him. Instead he was replaced was a submissive that wasn't even Ashton's. Calum wanted Michael and Luke gone, or he would leave. Odds were, though, that Ashton wouldn't give a fuck. He would just kick Calum out with just the clothes on his back.

Not even two seconds later, Ashton was opening the door and glaring at Calum. However, for once his expression softened when he realized his submissive was crying.

"What happened?" he asked quietly as he sat on the edge of the bed, staring at Calum who was curled up and crying into his knees.

"You don't even like me! You treat that freak like he's the most amazing thing to ever exist, but you treat me like I'm disgusting and awful. It's not fair, and I'm tired of it. You gave him the best breakfast of his life an-"

"Is this really about a breakfast? You're jealous because I gave him something better? Seriously, Calum? You need to calm down because that isn't my choice. Michael, Luke's dominant, is the one who buys those things. And even so, I personally feel as if submissives should earn their respect and how they're treat. You start at a low point, then with manners, appreciation, and respect for me, you'll be treated better and be given more opportunities, freedom, and love. Luke has been around Michael for over two and a half years, so he's gotten all of Michael's love."

Calum frowned, nuzzling his face into a pillow as he sniffled. It still wasn't fair, but it made a bit more sense to him at least. A shaky breath left his lips as he sat up, looking down at his lap.

"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know. I just... I just thought you were punishing me and treating me badly for a reason. I didn't know, I'm sorry, Ashton," he said quietly, avoiding eye contact.

"Well, now you know. Until you earn what you think you deserve, I treat you how I think you deserve. Doesn't mean it'll always be fair, doesn't mean it'll make you happy. It'll take weeks, even months to earn my love, but as long as you're kind and respectable, you'll eventually get there," Ashton said to Calum before standing up and clearing his throat.

"I know you have questions about Luke, too," he added. "He's not exactly what you are in terms of submissive. He's a little, I'm sure you know what that means. Michael is his daddy. They have a special bond, different than regular dominant and submissive relationship."

And with that, he walked out, leaving the door open.

Calum understood everything Ashton said but it didn't mean he liked it. He wanted the type of relationship Luke and Michael had, it was kinda cute now that he realized what they had going on. Ash would probably never let it happen, though.

He knew all about littles since there were a couple where he grew up. They were fun and great to be around. Calum was constantly playing games with them, whether it be with toys or coloring or playing pretend. He liked littles, so maybe he could like Luke.

As he made his way downstairs, he fixed his attitude. He thought only positive things about his dominant, as well as Michael and Luke. He sat down at the table, but froze when he saw that instead of oatmeal there was a plate of two chocolate pancakes.

Luke was giggling, clinging onto Michael as he hid behind his arm shyly. Calum looked up, his eyebrows furrowed.

"Luke insisted he wanted to share his pancakes with you," Ashton said as he looked down at Calum who was sat next to him.

Calum smiled a little, looking across the table at Luke who was hiding even more, just one eye watching.

"Wow, thanks, Luke. That's really nice of you. Maybe we can play together later or something," Cal said as he took a bite of the pancakes.

The biggest smile formed on Luke's lips as he nodded quickly, giggling.

Maybe this wouldn't be so bad, Calum thought to himself as he ate.
