The next morning, Ruby woke up first. She nearly fell out of bed in excitement.

"Wake up team! Today's the carnival day!" She shouted excitedly. Weiss groaned and sat up.

"Do we have to?" She whined. Ruby nodded.

"Yes of course. This is mandatory for all team members. Mandatory fun day." Ruby nodded continuously. Yang stretched her arms.

"Good morning team!" She seemed particularly happy as well. Weiss looked at Yang, confused.

"Why are you so happy, Yang?" Weiss asked, sighing and standing up. Yang got up as well and went to grab her clothes.

"Foxy is coming with us to the carnival," Yang said in a sing song voice. Weiss ran to the bathroom first, before Yang and stuck her tongue out.

"Ha ha ha," Yang spoke with sarcasm laced in her voice. Ruby looked around the room.

"Hey, where is Blake?" She asked. Yang shrugged as if she didn't care. Ruby looked at Yang peculiarly, waiting to see what she would say next.

"Did she come to our dorm room last night?" Yang shrugged carelessly again.

"So you just don't care?" Ruby asked, overwhelmed by Yang's change of emotion toward Blake since last night.

"No. I don't. I had time to think about it last night. I was actually going somewhere with Foxy this time and she had to ruin it. What even is her deal? She's been so distant lately that no one even knows if she's gone a million miles away or just reading in the corner of the room," Yang said harshly. There was complete silence for a few minutes until Weiss came out of the bathroom.

"Bathroom's open," she muttered while passing Yang. Yang sighed in annoyance.

"Took long enough Ice Queen." Yang muttered back, almost walking into Weiss on the way to the bathroom. Weiss looked at Ruby once Yang was in the bathroom.

"What's her problem? I heard what she said about Blake. I'm sure everyone heard. She said that so loud. I wouldn't be surprised if Blake heard all the way in the library." Weiss crossed her arms. "Do something about that, Ruby."

"What am I supposed to do!? I can't control her!" Ruby crossed her arms back, mocking Weiss. Weiss gasped, narrowing her eyes.

"Stop that!" She yelled. Ruby copied her pose again.

"Stop that," she said in a mocking tone. Blake walked into the room and slammed the door shut again. Both Weiss and Ruby turned to look at her.

"Stop arguing! You are partners. You're supposed to help each other. C'mon now. It's the worst thing when you and your partner are fighting. Trust me. But it's even worse when you're avoiding them." Blake said. Yang came out of the bathroom silently, watching what Blake would do. Blake looked over at Yang.

"I just wanted to come in here to apologize," Blake started. Yang smiled.

"Thank you. Apology accepted." Yang nodded. Blake gave an exasperated sigh.

"Shut up Yang, I'm not finished. I was going to say that I just wanted to come in here to apologize but then I heard all the crap you just said about me. I was right outside the door, about to walk in. Maybe you should just have 'Foxy' be your partner from now on," Blake said angrily, sneering when she said 'Foxy'. Yang's mouth dropped.

"What is your problem?" She asked, shocked. Blake shook her head and turned to walk out the door.

"I just told you my problem," Blake muttered sadly before closing the door behind her. There was silence again before Ruby turned and ran after Blake. Weiss crossed her arms at Yang.

"You guys can't keep living like this forever." Weiss said, shrugging.

In the library, Blake was almost in tears. She sat in the corner of the library where people normally didn't go. Ruby knew exactly where to go to find Blake.

"Hey, Blake-oh..." Ruby noticed Blake's tears and sat down next to her. "Are-are you okay?"

"N-no..." Blake wiped a few tears off her face. Ruby pulled her into a hug. After a few moments, the stubborn Faunus hugged back. Ruby smiled at her hugging back and petted her hair.

"It's okay, Blake... It's okay," Ruby whispered. Blake shook her head, still hugging Ruby. Her tears fell onto Ruby's cape.

"No, it's not. I can't keep doing this. I didn't mean to say that today, I didn't mean to break up Yang and Foxy's make out session. I didn't mean to be distant all the time. I just... I can't stand when she's..." Blake stopped in the middle of her sentence, breaking down in tears again. Ruby looked at her, confused.

"You can't stand when she does what?" Ruby asked, not meaning to pry but wanting to know what Blake meant. Blake didn't say anything. Ruby put a hand on her shoulder and sighed quietly. "If you don't tell me what's wrong, I can't help you."

Blake was quiet for another minute before leaning back in her seat. "I can't stand it when she keeps going out with other girls," Blake whispered. Ruby looked confused for a minute.

"Other girls? Like... Besides you? Wait, do you like her?" Ruby lowered her voice. Blake sighed and looked away.

"Um... Yeah..." Blake muttered. Ruby smiled, raising her eyebrows in surprise.

"Aww," she started. Blake punched her shoulder.

"Shut up, she can't know."

"Oh wait so that's why you slammed the door last night. To wake us up? So they couldn't make out?" Ruby asked a bit louder. Blake nodded.

"Yeah. It's really mean and I didn't mean to." Blake sighed again. Ruby nodded.

"Oh. Well we best be going to the carnival now. You're coming with us, right?" Ruby asked, abruptly changing the subject. Before this, Blake was planning on not going with her team to the carnival, but since Ruby knew that she liked Yang, she decided she should go and keep an eye on Ruby. She didn't want Yang to find out in any way. At least, not while Yang was dating another girl.

"Yeah sure, I'll go."
