First Day Back

Chapter 2~First Day Back

Hailee's POV

After Bailee and I, mostly me, got done talking to Grant, my mom pulled up to the curb.

We hopped in with my many bags in the back and trunk of the car.

And headed back to my house to put away all my new makeup, clothes, and hair-dye.

-After Unpacking-

I sigh loudly plopping on my bed and closing my eyes.

"Hell! That was enough work out for 10 years!" Bailee yells and I laugh.

Looking at her, I say "Bai are you serious!?"

I play sports, so that was not much workout. Yes, I am a nerd that plays sports....NO JUDGE!

"What!? Just being honest!" She yells and I once again laugh.

I roll my eyes laughing at her again.

"What are we going to do for the next 3 weeks Bai?" I ask her staring at my ceiling.

She shrugs and we just lay there.

-3 WEEKS FROM THE SHOPING DAY-

BEEP BEEP BEEP

I groan slamming my hand down on my alarm clock rolling out of bed and running to the bathroom to shower.

After I shower and wash my body with my Pairs body wash and shampoo and conditioner I get dressed into one of my new outfits I bought with Bai 3 weeks ago.

I do my make up and fix my now black hair by curling it.

Once I am saticefied with my looks I brush my teeth and head downstairs with my backpack.

Since Rose,Durzo and I are the only ones awake at this time the only person in the kitchen was Rose eating an apple.

"Hi Hails." Rose says looking from her apple to me.

"Hey Rose." I reply grabbing an orange and peeling it.

We sit in silence until I check the time and we have to walk to school.

School is not a far walk from our house, it is only 3 blocks away.

-WALKING INTO THE PARKING LOT-

"Rose, I am scared." I say loud enough for only her to hear.

"It is going to be ok Hai." She says just as loud.

I sigh walking into the building with Rose on my left and Bailee now on my right.

"Hey Bai." I say walking to the office.

"Hey, you look really scared calm down." she says smiling reassuringly.

We reach the office and get our papers like: schedule, locker number, rules, and stuff like that.

"Hey ladies." I hear an all to familiar voice say from behind me.

I turn arounf and hug Kale to death "Kale! Where the hell have you been!?" I yell as he wraps his arms dangerously low on my waist.

"Around." He says shrugging.

Laughing I pull away reluctantly.

Then Bailee and Rose just give him a simple 'Hello'.

"Ok, my schedule is: Math, English, Science, World Lang, Lunch, Health/Gym, and lastly History." I say reading my schedule aloud.

Turns out Kale and I have every single class together, while Bai and Rose have every class together.

"Aw! Bai I am going to miss you all the way until lunch! Besides the few minutes we have to see each other at our lockers." I state make it way more dramatic than needed 

"Oh please Hails." Rose says rolling her eyes walking over to her friends with Bailee following her.

"Well it is just you and me babe." Kale says making me blush and laugh.

Kale and I walk to our lockers mine being 209 and his being 208.

We dump our crap in our lockers and head to Math.

"So..are you glad we get to spend the whole day together?" Kale asks looking down at me.

I do a fake shrug saying "Mmm I would rather spend my time with Jonathan." 

He looks at me with a hurt look in his eyes, but that quickly vanishes and he gives a forced smile laughing.

"I was just kidding." I say standing on my tippy toes kissing his cheek in the middle of the crammed hallway.

Kale stops dead in place, and I just smirk to myself walking down the hallway.

I am halfway to Math when I realize people have been staring at me ever since I got here....but after all I am wearing high waisted shorts and a floral print shirt.

I NEVER would wear what I am wearing now.

I keep walking until all of the sudden I feel a hand on my ass and someone walking beside me.

I shriek jumping away from the culprit.

"What the hell!" I yell at Grant the guy I saw at the mall.

"Ey, baby keep it down." he says winking at me.

"How am I suppo-" I started only to get interupted by Kale "Why the hell are you touching her?!" He yells at Grant.

"Because last time I checked she....was mine." Grant says wrapping his arm around my waist squeezing my ass several times.

Nobody noticed what was going on but the 3 of us....how? I have no idea.

"Is this true Hailee." Kale says with pain all across his face.

"Hell no!" I state pushing Grant off of me and walking over to Kale pulling him away by his hand.

We walk the rest of the way to Math class.

The only thought on my mind........Why did what Grant say, have such an effect on Kales demeanor?
