stuck in the same boat

 during class Howleen overheard kids talking about their summer vacation, howleen kinda felt bad seeing she didn't even know what she was gonna do. but she didn't want to be left home alone so after class she had a talk with Twyla about it

"What do you mean you're going out of town !" Howleen yelled as she found out her friend wouldn't be here

"I'm sorry howleen, but my dad wants our family to hang with each other. we don't really see each other a lot other than Christmas and Halloween"

"But what am I gonna do with you?"

"You have your sister, I'm sure she -"

"I don't want to be stuck all summer vacation with my sister !"

"Why not, she's cool?"

"Yeah well ....not to me she isn't, "Howleen said after the talk with Twila howleen was sitting at lunch just thinking how bad her vacation will get, her only option was to actually accept her Sister invitation but she found it would be too late seeing that she already turned her down, she didn't have anybody else to hang around with, she could always hang around Toralei but didn't want to, at lunch, she looked over at her sister's table as she was laughing with her friend Jake and Danielle, they seem to be talking about going somewhere she could only wonder what their plan could be.

once home howleen overheard clawd and clawdeen talking about going to gloom beach, howler was surprised at this and what was worst she was gonna be stuck at home alone or maybe with howler

"you're not thinking about leaving me home with howler, are you? "

howleen asked walking over to them

"well actually howler will be with jake going places "

said clawdeen

"what?"

"she asked mom about it and said it was OK "

"what about me? "

"i thought you were gonna go spent the days at Twyla? "

"i was, but she pulled out at the last second, she has to go see her family "

"then why not go with her ?"

"no thanks, it would be awkward "

"then why not hang out with howler ?"

"you're joking, right? "

"if you have something better in mind then that's fine, but if not then stay home," clawdeen said

"can't i just come with you"

"Sorry but this vacation is only for me and my friends," clawdeen said making howleen sigh Then howler walked in

"Hey, guys what's up?"

"Guess what howler, im going to gloom beach," clawdeen said to her

"Cool can't wait to go someday"

"One day you will, do you have any plans for your summer vacation"

"well my friends and i talked it over and it was kind of hard but we all decided that we were going to stay home and just browse around or maybe we might go camping or something"

"That sounds interesting why don't you take your sister Howleen with you?" clawdeen said looking to howleen who growled

"I tried that but she said she didn't want to go with me she said that she had plans of her own"

"well not anymore Twyla is going out of town so it would be great if the two of you hang out with each other"

Claude said

"that's fine with me, what do you think Howleen?" howler asked as howleen crossed her arms

"I'll think about it," Howleen said as she went to her room the do her homework unable to stop looking over to Howler who was going through books that didn't look like her homework

"what are you doing?"

"I'm looking at places we can go during our summer vacation"

"summer vacation isn't until another week or so you have to finish your homework before you can even think about stuff like that"

"I know but I like to plan ahead before I do anything"

"you do know what Mom is going to say if you don't do your homework..."

"Yeah yeah yeah I already know and don't worry I'll get my homework done like I always do" howler said with a smile as her cell phone went off she picked it up and close the book she was looking at and walked out of the room to answer it giving Howleen the opportunity to look at the book she was looking at and saw that it was a book on places like theme parks and hotels along with restaurants

"There's no way that she and her friends can ever afford this, it's just too much money even if it is here in town," Howleen said to herself as she heard footsteps coming she closed the book back the way it was and got back to her bedroom pretending to do her homework as the bedroom door opened and saw howler come back with an unhappy face

"What's up with you?"

"My vacation plans just got busted," she said as she went and sat on her bed and she threw down the tour guide book onto the floor

"what do you mean what happened?" Howleen ask as she went over to her sister

"jake got pulled away from our fun day because of his girlfriend Nefera"

"Sorry to hear that...wait jake is dating Nefera?!"

"i know total shocker"

"When was this ?"

"since valentine's Day but i got over it ...kind of"

" oh..what are you going to do now about your summer vacation?" howleen asked 

"Well I still have Danielle so I'm pretty sure she and I would do something fun together," howler said with a smile, skipping to the next day at school

" what do you mean you have to cancel our plans!?" howler said almost screaming

"I'm sorry howler I'll make it up to you really"

"You don't have to, go have fun "

"Howler im so sorry I'll call you later ok "

"Yeah OK" Howler sigh as Danielle walked away apparently it seems that Danielle had to pull away from their vacation trip also, her dad wanted her to go on a cruise trip with the family
