Unfortunately I do this. I shut people out. Sometimes I don't do it on purpose, but other times I do. And the difference is how I feel.
When I'm not feeling good and I'm angry at everything, I do it on purpose. Because the smallest thing can cause me to explode.
And the times I don't do it on purpose is when I'm feeling sad. I don't feel like doing anything or going anywhere, so I just stay safe at home where I don't have to hide my feelings.
I have to say that I don't trust people quickly in general, but I guess when they say they reckon with me but I see from their actions that they really don't do that, I don't trust them with my well being.
And overthinking... yeah I do that a lot. From looking what the weather will be everyday to what shoes I can wear to skipping classes and how the day will go when I wake up with a lot of pain.
