Belle
I jump about a foot in the air, not expecting to have heard a voice at all. "Um yeah, Hi. My name's Isabelle but everyone calls me Belle" I turn around with a smile to face him.
He gauges my reaction to seeing him which is slightly strange but oh well. "People round here call me Beast" He grunts, not smiling back at me and instead turning back to his book from where he's reclined on his bed. I simply respond "Oh" Not really knowing what to say to that before I check out our room.
It's definitely roomy but rather cold looking, with dark grey walls and black accents. Beast's side of the room is sparse, everything neatly tucked away where it belongs. He only has a few personal belonging. School books and study materials as well as a few reading books.
I walk over to my side of the room and start to tidy away my belongings, the clothes leaving a lot of spare room despite the addition of my uniform. I hastily close the doors, the boy of obvious wealth sending me curious looks from time to time as I move on to stocking my dresser.
"So do you read much?" I ask the boy. He doesn't even acknowledge that I've spoken. "I'm guessing by your book that you do" I state, knowing the plot well. "Have you read it before?" I inquire, placing my hands on my hips as I step towards him. He still ignores me, making my frustration rise. "Beast?" I give him one last chance but he doesn't take it.
I shrug "Her boyfriend dies" I spoil the book before turning back to my belongings with a smug smirk on my face.
His response is to growl under his breath and outright throw the book at the wall before storming out. The man is all muscle but I doubt that he's going to actually hurt me.
His skin is pale and his auburn hair is long and shaggy, matching his scraggly beard well. It's hard to imagine that he is either 17 or 18 and not closer to his thirties.
I shake my head of thoughts of the rude men I've met today, hopefully not representative of all the other students here, and instead finish packing away my measly belongings. Once finished I check the day schedule. I think I can go for dinner about now, so I pocket my map and wander through the corridors to the dining hall.
