Belle

People may tell us that we're stupid, and they're right. We're stupid in love.

Adam pulled through with his promise. He showed me how he could develop to become the man he was meant to be. No-one calls him Beast anymore, no-one in college even knew that's what he was called before. Everyone knows him as Adam.

We moved in together properly once term started at Harvard, renting an apartment close to campus that was all our own. Beast hasn't once reared his ugly head and Adam has only become a more and more joyous man. When we graduated college, Adam immediately gained management of the hospital that he had requested from his father and allowed me to work there for a year to get perfectly comfortable with my skills before I joined the charity group that would call me out for tours of third world countries who needed my aid.

The night I returned from my first tour was like me and Adam were reconciling all over again and that was the night that he proposed to me.

Of course I said yes.

And so here we are, a year later and I'm preparing to walk up the aisle. Between my tours and Adam's extra work prior to his holiday for our honeymoon, I didn't have that much time to organize the wedding. Annie and Fifi helped us massively with this, both having planned their own weddings a couple of years previously.

We wanted it to be small and humble, with the people we really cared about in attendance. I made Fifi my Maid of honour, and all of the prefect girls are my bridesmaids.

They're all bustling around me trying to get everything ready whilst I sit back and read a book, allowing them to get on with it. "Bridesmaids! You need to go!" Annie calls impatiently as my dad comes to my side, grasping my hand in his own with a tearful look in his eye.

"I'm so proud of you Belle" he sighs happily. I beam up at him, standing from my perch and smoothing down the dress Pierre bought for me all those years ago. "Thank you dad, that means a lot" I respond honestly as Fifi gets ushered out, joining Charlie as the best man. "Shall we?" Dad asks, holding out an arm.

"We shall" I breathe nervously as the music changes. That's my cue.

Adam

I feel my breath catch in my throat at the sight of Belle walking up the aisle. It feels like it's just me and her in this room. She's never looked so beautiful to me, and today is the day I make her forever mine.

Slowly a breathtaking smile crawls onto her lips and my eyes tear up slightly at the sight. This is all I've ever wanted.

I kept my promise to her. I try every day to prove to her that I'm worthy of a woman as amazing as her and I can't even express how much she's influenced me for the better. She's taught me how I can use that wealth and power I was gifted with to help those less fortunate than me and it's 100 times more fulfilling than wasting it all on myself instead.

I won't say I'm perfect. I still have off days and bad traits but I'm human. Everyone does. But that's nothing to be ashamed of, it's something to come to terms with.

And as she stands across from me on our wedding day I know that this is the moment I will cherish for the rest of my life.

This beautiful human being completes me and I'll never let her go again.

"You may now kiss the bride" And with my ring on her finger and my last name forever hers, I kiss her.
