(Pepe in multimedia)
LOGAN
6:50 P.M.
We all sat in the living room watching each other, waiting for someone to make the first move.
It was our 3rd day in Cuba, and I had spent all afternoon shopping and sightseeing with Angel and Pepe. I bought tons of skirts, crop tops, swimsuits and sunglasses for $7 a piece! My total came up to $200, and I knew if I was shopping in America, I would've spent over $500.
Anyway, Pepe called for a meeting tonight to discuss the California trip and said that he was going to test us to see if we were ready. At first we were skeptical about running a mock test for a simple situation but after much reassurance, we all agreed.
I gazed around the large living room to look at Pablo, Jaelyn and Cash-- but no sign of Pepe. He wasn't here yet, but he had placed 4 position cards on the glass table: a leader, a watchman, a spy, and a traitor. We all were supposed to pick up a card, but everyone seemed confused. We were just going to California to help persuade Rick not to cut ties, not to fucking rob his ass.
Personally, I thought all of these role cards were uncalled for. I mean, we all knew Rick, he was cool as hell and more than likely he would agree to keeping ties with Pepe. His loyalty remained solid no matter what.
We all knew what to expect out of Rick, but no one knew what to expect from Cameron... not even Cash. Cash told us his dad always reacted with his emotions. If Cameron was angry, he made dumb decisions from his anger. If Cameron was happy, he made even dumber decisions from his happiness.
Cash said that one time his dad was so excited that he over did it and jumped out of his room window from the 3rd floor. I would love to see video footage of that.
We continued to sit in silence and I could feel the tension build up. Jae was sitting in Cash's lap looking scared for her life, and Pablo kept shaking his legs acting like a lil bitch. I couldn't take this shit anymore.
"Well since no one is going to say anything, I'll just say it. I don't know what Pepe has planned for us tonight, but this doesn't seem right. These cards are giving me a James Bond spy type of vibe, not persuading a man." I said while shaking my head. "I don't fully understand what kind of test we are going to have later but shit if we have to pick roles, I'd rather be the leader or spy."
Everyone turned to look at me, then bursted out laughing. They were underestimating me, and it was mainly because I was from the suburbs. Besides getting into a fight once, I've never dealt with any other type of violence.
"Logan, how can you be the leader when you don't even know HALF of what the hood looks like. You're in a for a rude awakening when you see those Californian streets princess." Pablo said to me. Cash nodded in agreement and it sent anger through my body.
"Listen I may be from the suburbs but I'm about that life!" I said defending myself. Everyone laughed again, making me even angrier. I started to protest again, until I heard footsteps approaching.
Pepe came around the corner in a white unbutton shirt, a simple gold chain, a Rolex on his wrist, some black loafers, and some charcoal slacks on. He looked so daddy-ish, & I couldn't help but to eye rape him.
"Wassup everyone," Pepe started. Then he turned to look at me. "And hello to my babygirl."
I smiled and bit my bottom lip. He came over to me and as we kissed, I heard everyone moan in disgust, causing me to suck my teeth. Fucking haters.
