Isabella's PoV:
(Age fourteen)We followed the Queen back to her rooms, where she sat down at her desk and started to scratch at a piece of parchment with her quill pen. Angela held my hand tentatively as she lead me to the window seat and sat down next to Jessica. "Isabella, dear, would you mind running along to the Princess Alice's room to deliver this letter to her?" Said the Queen suddenly. I looked up, startled, and nodded my head, wondering how to find it. "To get to her quarters just turn two rights and a left at the end of the corridor, it's the first door you see." She smiled softly at me, having already second guessed my question.
"Of course, your majesty." I said as I sprung up from the window seat and grabbed the letter, hurrying out of the room. Two rights... I thought as I walked briskly away from the only part of the castle I truly knew... And a lef— why won't the boy get out of my way? I stopped because in front of me was a boy — a human Paige boy — with a round, child like face and a puppy dog kind of look about him. He seemed familiar, even though he looked quite a bit older than me, at least seventeen summers old I thought.
He was walking in the opposite direction, towards the stairs, but he stopped as soon as he saw me, a creepy glint in his eyes when he looked me up and down. "Look who it is, it's the new girl!" He jeered while I tried to step around him. A smirk settled itself on his face before he moved fluidly to the side, blocking me as I tried to get past. "Now, now, there's no need to be frightened — Isabella, is it? Well, Izzy, there's no need to be scared of me. My name's Michael, son of the Lord of Portland." He spoke like a vampire, cocky and arrogant and obviously used to the finer things in life. His accent was clipped, genteel and somewhat British — just like the Royalty he'd obviously been around his entire life.
"Excuse me, my Lord, but I need to deliver this letter for the Queen — it's rather urgent." I told him politely, hoping that he'd let me go once he knew it was from the Queen. Alas, that was not the case.
"Oh, that'll wait Izzy," he whispered up against my ear, pressing his body into mine and knocking me closer to the wall. "I'm that sure the Queen will be quite understanding if you were to get... Lost. Come on, let's have some fun." He shoved me hard into the wall, his mouth crashing onto mine as he groped all over my body, ignoring my pleas.
"No! Stop, please my Lord! Get off me. Get off me!" I screamed as loudly as I could, using my whole body weight to try and push him off me, but he only laughed and kissed me harder. His mouth was hot against my face, the same temperature as the tears sliding down my cheek as I cried beneath him. He raised his hand and slapped me hard in the face, whispered into my ear again. "That'll teach you to make any noise, you whore." I sucked in breathe for another scream but his lips were on mine again, his hot red tongue forcing its way into my mouth.
"What's going on here?" A loud, feminine voice yelled across the hall, followed by impossibly fast footsteps and then a sudden rush of cold air as the Paige boy was ripped off of me. I gasped in relief and fell to the floor, still sobbing bitterly. The boy ran away as fast as he could, the sound of his footsteps thumping along the bottom of the stairs for only a minute.
"Are you okay?" Asked the Lady in front of me, her bright gold eyes glowing with sympathy.
