Daimon's POV
I'm panting in front of Jamie's house after sprinting all the way here. Damn I need work out more. Can't believe I'm tired because of that.
Wiping the sweat that was dripping down my brows, I walk up to Jamie's front door and knock twice. I wait a few seconds and when no ones comes to answer the door, I knock again but louder this time.
Shit...no one is answering the door. Fuck it.
Surprisingly, the door is unlocked which made everything easier for me. I take tentative steps inside Jamie's living room. There a coffee table in the middle of two mud brown leather sofas.
I make my way insider her house and go into her entertainment room and see that there's no one there. There's a huge 64" plasma TV facing a family sized couch.
"Jace," I whisper, hoping the little kid would hear me.
A noise catches my attention that comes from the second floor. I head towards the stairs as quietly as I can. It's not that I'm afraid of Jamie's dad, it's just that everything would go so much smoother if I just don't bump into him.
Reaching the top of the stairs, I overhear someone whimper...in pain? Not wasting a single second any longer, I barged through the door where I heard the weeping coming from.
I gasp from shock from what I was seeing. I just...coudn't believe what I was watching. How can he do that to his own child?! I let out an enraged yell causing Jamie's dad to jump away from Jace.
Fucking disgusting pig. You better get away from him.
Jamie's dad gives me an irritated look.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?! How in the world could you even do that to him?!" I snarl at him.
I don't even give him a chance to respond to me. I launch myself towards him and strike him right on his nose, but I don't stop there. I keep pummeling him in the face and I hear the crunch noises which I sure hope are his bones. He tries covering his face with his arms, but I just smack them away.
"How the fuck does that feel like, huh?" I growl out. I grab a bunch of his hair and start smashing his head against the hardwood floor. "You sick son of bitch! I'll make sure you rot in fucken jail," I bark at him. All I hear are his damn moans and groans of pain.
A smile reaches my face when I finally decide to let go of him. His eyes are already starting to swell up. His whole face is unrecognizable. I smirk at him,"Next time I see you anywhere near Jamie or Jace..." I grit out "I swear I will fucken kill you," I say icily.
I give him on last look of revulsion before going to Jace. I untie his hands which were taped together to his bedpost. "It's okay Jace. I'm here now. I won't let him touch you anymore," I tell him softly. Silent tears flowed out of his eyes marking his red cheeks. Shit...I didn't even notice when tears came out.
Get it together Daimon. You can't cry in front of him. You'll just frighting him even more.
I hastily pull up Jace's underwear and pants. I clear my throat and rake my fingers through Jace's hair softly. "It's okay Jace. I'm going to take to where Jamie is..." I notice that he perks up when I say Jamie's name "Come here, kid. Let's take you to where Jamie is at. Yeah?" I ask him tentatively.
He gazes into my eyes while tears keep going down his face. Whatever he was looking for, I guess he found. Jace slowly sits up and stretches his hands towards me; waiting for me to pick him up. I give him a small smile," That's a good boy," I tell him faintly. I gently pick him up and he quickly latches his arms around my neck. I pat his back trying to sooth him and he burries his face in the crook of my neck.
