AminaPOV
My alarm clock rang at 6:15 waking me from the weirdest of dreams. Me with a family, two little ones running in a big backyard, a man playfully chasing them and scooping them into his arms, although, I couldn't quite make out his identity, the sun shined in his face.
I got out of bed stretching, I did a bit of yoga then, hopped in the shower. After that I got dressed and headed to the kitchen to get something to eat. I decided on a waffles, since I was good on time. I sat at my kitchen's island eating the waffles I made when there was a knock at the door.
"It's opennn." I yelled
"Mornin', and you need to have your door locked and actually get up to see who it is."
"I knew it was you Ceil, no thief comes and knocks, they break in."
"Still, you need to be safer."
"You sound like my mom."
"Umm thanks, and ooo are those your mama's famous sweet potato waffles."
"Yes, and they are mine, but if you are hungry I can give you one off my plate."
"Aww thanks, your mama sure did know how to cook."
"Yeah, that was her, always in the kitchen."
We sat eating when my phone's jingle went off.
"Ceilia we gotta go now so we can open on time."
"Ok and can I catch a ride with you, my car is temporarily out of order."
"Sure, but what's wrong with your car."
"Flat tire."
"I can put on your spare after work if you want."
"Awesome, thank you soo much."
"No prob, now let's go, timing is everything."
"Well Mina hun looks like we'll be fashionably late this morning, you forgot to undo and pick out your bantu knots."
"I knew I was forgetting something, you my friend are a life saver."
"I'll be back, gimme a few minutes."
"Ok ."
Several minutes and a pick later I ready to go. I grabbed my keys and flicked off the lights and me and Ceilia were headed to work.
