Erik took it upon himself to make sure I was asleep in bed after that, only leaving after what I assumed was when I was asleep.
In the morning, when I woke up, I felt as if a brick had hit me. I was very drowsy, but I also was in pain.
Maybe it was the way I slept. I don't know. I got dressed, putting a navy blue dress on and pulled my hair up into a braided bun.
I walked down the stairs, and was stopped short when I heard my father talking. On any normal occasion, I would just assume that he was talking to the other women, but a male voice responded. Sometimes two responded at the same time.
I walked in and took a seat next to my father.
"Nice to see you are awake." My father said, then motioned to the two people.
"We have guests that will be staying with us for the next month." I looked over at them.
One had dark brown hair and bright green eyes, and the other looked younger, with blonde hair and green eyes.
"Hello." I greeted.
"You might recognize one of them, their names are Harry and Arthur Kirkland, from England." My father said, and my eyes went wide.
"A-Arthur?" I gasped, and looked and the blonde.
"It's been awhile, hasn't it love?" He asked, which brought tears to my eyes.
I ran to him and hugged him.
"You said you wouldn't be back until next year!" I said happily, and sat down next to him.
He chuckled lightly.
"I was able to come earlier... I wanted to surprise you." He said, and grabbed my hands and rubbed the tops with his thumb.
"We'll leave you two alone to catch up." Harry said, and then left, followed by my father.
"Oh, how I've missed you." He whispered to me, hugging me.
"I have missed you too." I said back, and he hugged me tighter, placing his lips onto my forehead.
"We should go on a walk." He said, into my skin.
"Arthur, I'm not sure that's-" I started to say, but he interrupted.
"I'm sure your father will be fine. Let me just go fetch my coat, then we will be off." He said, and left before I could say anything.
I looked helplessly at him leave. He already made his decision. I can't stop him.
I got lost in my own thought until a voice pulled me out of them.
"Who was that boy?"
