(Hello everyone I am back! I know it's been so long. please forgive me. I have some quick authors notes for you really quick. First of all is that during last chapter I had some people asking why when I switched to Hinata's POV was it sunset? That is because Sasuke had gotten there and he himself was not ready to face Hinata. The only reason he did come in was because it was raining and he figured it was ridiculous to sit out in the rain when his house is sitting there. I didn't add that to the story because it really didn't fit with the feel of the last chapter I had. Second of all is that this series will be ending this month. I wanted to get some chapters out last month but the holidays and personal life got in the way. I can guarantee that it will be ending this month, though. Last of all is that I have another story and I will be publishing it soon. It will come out sometime in late February or early March. I am very excited about this next story. Ok on with the story!)
(Sasuke POV)
She looks so pale. She has returned to her soft fragile look when I first met her. I guess Neji was right. Something did break in her because of me. I didn't mean for you to break when I left. I would never want that.
"I think I do," Hinata whispers softly.
"How does he know about me?" I ask. She looks up at me with wide eyes. Did she expect me to talk about something else?
"That would be because I talk about you. Those are his bedtime stories. I tell him about you," she says while looking at the floor.
"He thinks that I'm a hero. What did you all tell him?" I ask baffled. She gently shrugs her shoulders.
"You're n-not a villain anymore Sasuke. You haven't been for quite a while," She says almost without stuttering. "I told him that you weren't around because you were off on a mission to protect us. That you were risking your life. As far as I am concerned that is what you were doing," she says with sorrow in her eyes. I didn't mean to break her so much. I hope it's not too late to fix my mistake.
"How am I suppose to live up to his expectations?" I ask with a sigh. "What happens when he learns of my past?" I add. Hinata takes a step closer to me. She grabs my face and looks me in the eyes. There is a fierceness there that wasn't there before.
"He is your son. He looks and acts like you more than me. He will love you no matter what." She says. She always did have a way of saying things to me that would fill my cold heart with warmth. I did miss her.
She let's go of my face and takes a step back. Her cheeks are stained red. I wish I could say she's the same Hinata that I left here but that is not the case. She is stronger now.
"I guess we should get some sleep," I say taking the clothes from her and walking over to my bed.
"Alright," she replies and walks towards the door. It opens with a creak and she slips out of the room.
"Will things ever go back to normal?" I ask into the void of my room.
(Hinata POV)
He still had that smell that calms my nerves. I thought that he would smell differently but he doesn't. I am happy about that. Sakura will be happy to hear about that I guess.
I need to stop thinking about things like this. I'm engaged to the Kazekage. Even if it for alliance purposes. I need to tell my heart to stop thinking about Sasuke. He doesn't even feel anything for me. It's just a stupid crush. It's never going to happen.
I should also tell him about it. He deserves to know. After all, it is going to effect him as well. Is he going to want to raise Shiro? He needs a father figure in his life and I want it to be Sasuke. Sasuke deserves to know his son.
