day 7 of 12 days of fluff!

"keith, get in here!" lance trudged through the house door with a pine tree over his shoulder. he set it down in the middle of their lounge room floor.
"LANCE!" keith yelled, running in to the room. "i told you to get a small tree!"
"i know, i know, but get this: the big trees were the same price as the small trees! i figured the bigger, the better, right?"
keith held his hand over his face, shaking his head in disappointment. "sure, whatever lance. but you're putting this fucking tree up yourself." and with that, he stormed out of the room and started baking christmas cookies.
lance shrugged and starting moving the tree around, struggling to set it upright considering the top of tree didn't have enough room, so it folded up against the ceiling.
the tree was finally stood up on its stand, lance stepped back to take it in. the tree had a great diameter. it was huge, and there was no way to get past between it and the couch. of course that didn't change lance's mind on where it stayed.
ornaments came up, along with strands of lights, tinsel, and glitter.
lance carefully wrapped the lights around the large tree. when he plugged them in, the colored lights changed shades. the shimmering lights were soothing, and contrary to whatever keith says, he thinks they're beautiful.
next comes glitter, which always was the easiest to do, hardest to clean up. the glitter flew through the air, gold specks flying on every branch of the tree, and also all around the tree on the floor. these specks spread like wildfire through the house, but that just made lance like it more.
now lance decorated the tree with rainbow tinsel. the beautiful strands reflected rainbow lights on to lance's face, and everything else in the lounging room.
finally, the ornaments. these were lance's favorite. colorful orbs in every color, several sizes, and many patterns. lance hung a reasonable amount on the tree, he knew how to make the tree look good, even though keith made fun of the decoration overload lance did for christmas every year.
lance walked into the kitchen, where keith still stood over the counter top mixing cookie dough. lance gave him a kiss on the cheek and leaned his face on keith's.
"want to see the tree?" he asked.
"okay lance, i swear if you used glitter again, you're not getting any of these cookies." keith replied, setting down his spoon and walked ahead into the lounge.
"i see glitter, lance."
"aw, sorry. your cookies are no good anyways."
"you really think so?"
"no, i was joking." lance pushed keith's hair out of his face and buried his face into the other boy's neck.
"lance, you forgot to turn on the lights."
lance immediately sprung into action, pressing the button on the cord. the lights sprung into action, changing shades, glimmering in keith's indigo eyes, all except one strand near the tip of the tree.
"i've got it!" lance exclaimed, leaping into action. he tried climbing around the tree and stepping on some bottom branches to get closer, but it still wouldn't allow him to reach.
"here... i'll just climb in farther." he stated, ducking under the tree and rising carefully being sure to dodge branches that would hit his head. he connected the cords preventing the strand from lighting up, and then the whole tree looked amazing at last.
"nice job lance, now come out here so i can kiss you by this beautiful tree." keith smirked.
lance tried ducking down to come out the way he got in, only to fail and get hit in the stomach by a branch too.
"er-- maybe i can just, walk out." but that did not work either. the branches had completely engulfed lance. he was stuck.
"keith, i'm stuck." lance pouted.
keith burst out laughing.
"this is the best christmas present ever." he said.
