"No," Twyla said shakily as she looked over the roof, "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! I will not jump!"
"Shh!" I yell, "Do you wanna get caught?"
"No," she replied, still shaking, "but I'm not going to jump off and kill myself!"
We all looked down into the dark alley. It was far, but Twyla didn't know what was at the end. Coby and I figured we might as well get back at her for pranking us so much.
"Come on," Coby said impatiently, "Let's go!"
Twyla looked over the edge again and shook her head. She looked like she might throw up.
"Look," I said, feeling bad, "we'll all jump together, okay." To this, she looked more relieved, and nodded. "Okay," I said as Coby and I went over. I had to admit, it was scary. Maybe it's just because I had Demon blood in me and, after all, all Demons are afraid of heights. "One," I said, "two, three!"
We all jumped. I could feel exhilaration and fear at the same time, and it was incredible yet horrifying. After a few short seconds, we felt ourselves hit something. Then we felt nothing. It was a net, springing us up and down.
"W-what is this?" Twyla said, shaking even more.
"It's a net," I replied, trying to contain my laughter, "Coby, and I put it down here to break my fall. Why? Didn't we tell you?"
Coby bursted into laughing and Twyla went red. She looked kind of cute like that. Kind of like a little embarrassed kid, but cuter. I mentally slapped myself. Bad Jason! I thought.
"Well," Twyla started, using her irritation power on us, "You didn't, but I will admit, it wasn't that good."
I felt anger in my system, but I quickly shrug it off. I had to control it. I looked at Coby. He was fuming. I gave him a look that said "Really? Are you that stupid?" and he flushed red.
"What do you mean it wasn't that good?" Coby said bitterly, still red, "It was perfect! You were scared out of your mind!" He smiled after he said this.
Twyla smirked, "Perfect? Not at all! You could've done way better."
"She has a point, Coby," I say, nodding.
"Sure, agree with her instead of your brother. Ok." Coby said, still bitter. How dare he! I just agreed with Twyla because she had a good point. After all, she was the master at pranks.
Twyla released her power and laughed. Coby was still red with embarrassment. "Oh..my...gosh!" Twyla said, gasping for breath. "That's how it's done gentlemen!" She kept on laughing, and soon Coby and I joined in. We laughed until we could hardly breathe.
"Okay, okay," I said once we were done, "What now?"
"Well," Twyla said playfully, "I was thinking we hit the chilly-burger-dog place and start a food fight. What do you think?"
We smiled, "Well," Coby said, "I am hungry. I mean, we didn't have any breakfast or anything, but I think it's time for lunch."
Twyla nodded, "Great idea! But wait, what about the cash? I'm afraid I left all my cash down in the Undergrounds in my scary Demon account, oh wait. I don't have any cash!"
"Right," I started, "well, there's always Hesekiel."
"Guzuntight," Twyla said.
I glared at her, "It's our friend. He helps us get food and we help him get information about things. We haven't seen him in a while, but I'm sure he'll help."
Coby nodded excitedly, "Yeah, that's a great idea! I love Hesekiel!"
"Alright," Twyla said, "As long as it's food, I'm good."
We all agreed, then started walking to Hesekiel's through alleys, so people wouldn't attack us or be frightened of us on sight. We saw a few alley cats, but none, thankfully, did attack us.
We reached Hesekiel's house. "Woah!" Twyla said, amazed, "I didn't think this guy was rich! Especially with that name!"
We all nodded as Twyla inspected the house. It had a balcony held up by ivory pillars. The huge door was gold and the handle was ivory. The entire house was made of quartz and the the windows were rimmed with silver. I guess you could say that he was full blown rich.
I went up to the door and Coby and Twyla followed. Coby knocked loudly and after a few moments, Hesekiel came out. He was an average Angel with bright blonde hair and light blue eyes. His skin was moderately tan and his teeth were pearly white. His wings had started to grow in and were folded behind him. He was every girl's dream. As soon as he saw us he smiled, but then saw Twyla and frowned deeply. His eyes turned to from calming and peaceful, to angry and resentful. He said one word as he looked at Twyla with hatred.
"You."
A/N Hey guys! I'm BAAAACK!! Hahaha! I'm sorry for my terrible absence. I hope you enjoyed! Please tell me what you think! Bye!
