The weather was finally getting to that perfectly, crispy, chilly, and not so unbearable type of feeling. Haru sighed contently as he took in the festive scenery that the town had been preparing for since the beginning of November, it was a pleasant sight to say the least, but he felt as though it was missing something. Haru had lost himself in his thoughts, looking blankly towards the snow driven sidewalk and not really paying attention to his surroundings until he found himself running into a familiar looking, mossy-green jacket. He looked up at who he had run into to see if his instincts were correct and, not so much to his surprise, he had run into his close friend Makoto.

"Oh! Sorry about that! I should have moved to the side..." Makoto exclaimed sporadically as he whirred around to face whoever he had run into. His worried face quickly melted away and his face glowed when he realized who it was, "Oh! H-Haru, it's you!" he smiled, "What a coincidence, huh?"

Haru's eyes glittered as he quickly avoided eye-contact and nodded, "...'s pretty cold out today" he responded sheepishly as he slid his hands into his coat-jacket, "what're you doing over here anyway...?" he added as he focused his gaze towards the many bags that Makoto carried.

"I thought I'd get a head start on buying some decorations and things for Christmas," Makoto answered warmly, "Since you're here, do you maybe want to help me? It'll be tons of fun~ I still have to get the Christmas tree, some ornaments, festive table mats..." he rambled as he started to walk again.

Haru followed closely by, quietly listening to Makoto's never-ending list of "to-do" for the day. He found himself clinging on to Makoto's sleeve as they entered the more...populated area of town. It was unusually busy today, and it was equally as populated inside the stores that they went into. Haru never really was the "outdoorsy" type, so this overwhelmed him a little. However, he stuck close by to Makoto, seeking security behind him. Makoto glanced over at the struggling individual and smiled sympathetically, he tried his best to avoid the biggest crowds throughout their shopping endeavors in a means to calm his anxious friend and overall, it worked.

The daylight was quickly fading and the festive lights all around the town began to light up the streets. Makoto had wandered off into one of the stores to grab one more final item before heading home. Haru decided to stay outside for this one, he trusted that Makoto wouldn't take long since he had told Haru that it was just one little item. Haru didn't bother asking what it was, but that didn't mean he was not curious. A few minutes passed by and Makoto had arrived with two more bags to add to his collection. He scrambled to hide them in one of the bigger bags that he was carrying as if he were trying to hide what he bought. Haru's curiosity piqued, he grabbed some of the smaller bags and the two began walking towards the parking lots.

"Thank you so much for helping out, Haru." Makoto said as they made it to his car, "Did you want to come over and help me out? Nagisa and the others said that they wouldn't be able to make it over until later tonight."

"You planning something special tonight?" Haru asked, placing the bags in the trunk and heading over towards the passenger's seat.

"I wanted to do a small little get-together sleep over at my house." Makoto answered with a light chuckle, "I sent everyone a text talking all about it~"

Haru blushed as the two of them got into the car, he always had a bad habit of not checking his phone. As the drove off, Haru checked his phone, surely enough, there was at most sixty-seven notifications in his messages. When he opened his messages, he saw that he was put into a group chat. He opened the group chat and huffed when he saw who Makoto had invited, Sosuke, kisumi, Rin, Rei, Momo, Nitori and Nagisa. Two of these people he felt really uneasy about. Makoto noticed haru's shift in attitudes and quietly laughed to himself. He knew Haru wasn't very fond of Sosuke or Kisumi, he wasn't sure why, but he knew that he just was not about socializing with either one of them.

"We're here!" Makoto announced as he pulled up into the driveway and parked, turning off the car and unlocking the trunk to unload.

Haru exited the car, still focused on his phone as he read through the conversation. He scoffed at it as he finished up and placed his phone into his pocket and helped Makoto unload the trunk, closing it afterwards. Makoto opened the door to his home and let Haru in, setting everything down on the kitchen table and heading back outside to grab the box that contained the Christmas tree. Haru took off his trench coat, already feeling overheated inside the house, and placed it on the coat hanger, he then slipped off his ankle high boots and placed them right under his coat. By that time, Makoto had entered once more, lugging over the heavy Christmas tree box under his arm and with a hefty grunt he set it down in the middle of the living room. Haru closed the door behind Makoto and looked up at him, awaiting further instructions.

"well!" Makoto said with a satisfied sigh, "now we just have to wait for everyone to come, which won't be for a while, so make yourself at home, Haru~"

"Okay," Haru replied as he walked into the living room with Makoto and sat on the couch.

Makoto took off his red scarf and mossy-green jacket and placed it on the coat hanger next to Haru's, taking off his boots as well and placing them under the jacket. He turned to look over at Haru who was staring blankly out the window as the snow began to fall. Makoto smiled lovingly at him, his heart jumping like mad just by simply having Haru here with him. Makoto was quickly snapped out of his daze when he remembered what he had bought before heading home. He shuffled through the bags until he found them. Opening the bag, his emerald greed eyes shimmered with excitement when he peered into the bag, He picked out a mistletoe and hid it behind his back as he walked back into the living room with Haru.

"Hey," Makoto spoke out in his smooth and warm tone, "so I was wanting to wait until Christmas for this but, I just can't wait that long so..."

Haru turned to see what Makoto was talking about, but gasped in surprise when he saw how close the other was to him. He blushed and stammered, "wh-what're you talking about...?" Haru murmured, his dark blue eyes glazed over with compassion, his heart beating faster and faster by the minute.

Makoto gently cupped his hands over Haru's hands, placing the mistletoe in them and then moving his hands up to caress Haru's face, "Merry Christmas, Haru-chan...~"

Haru's face was flushed pure red when his lips met Makoto's, everything was spinning and his heart felt like it was going to jump right out of his chest. He gripped the mistletoe tightly as he awkwardly melted into the kiss. Makoto broke it after a few minutes to catch his breath, his face just as red as Haru's as they stared into each other's eyes lovingly.

"Thank you..." Haru panted as he wrapped his arms around Makoto's neck and moved closer to him. Makoto caught the gist and wrapped his arms around the other's waist and pulled him closer, causing Haru to adjust himself by wrapping his legs around Makoto's waist and he kissed him again. The two blushed like mad the entire duration of the kiss before breaking it yet again panting a little bit harder, "Merry Christmas to you too..." Haru replied sheepishly.

Makoto was at a loss for words. He just smiled and laughed laying down with Haru embraced in his arms, "Thank you!" he replied. He knew that this sleep over will end up being a pretty exciting sleepover. He couldn't wait to tell Nagisa, since he was the one who suggested this to him anyway.
