Chapter 2

  A devastated expression spread across Nagisa's face as he sighed, he had been waiting in the living room for what felt like hours for Rei.

"Rei-chaaan!" he whined, "hurry up! We're gonna be late!"

"Beauty takes time, Nagisa. I'm almost done, just let me get one more thing..." Rei exclaimed as he shuffled through his neatly assorted holiday sweaters.

He came out a few minutes later wearing a purple holiday sweater one with white snowflakes lightly adorning it. Nagisa practically leaped from his position as he handed Rei the car keys and bolted to the door, "Come on, Rei-chan!" he blurted, "I already texted them saying that we're on our way!"

"Alright, Alright!" Rei Replied anxiously as he shut and locked the door behind him, "You are so impatient." He added with a slight chuckle.

Rei and Nagisa entered the car and began to drive off, every now and then Rei would glance at Nagisa, admiring how he always smiled and glowed no matter what situation he was in. As they reached a stoplight, Nagisa pulled out his phone, reading over the messages he had received. His Bright pink eyes widened and glittered like giant pink diamonds as he read over the text that Makoto had sent him privately.

"OH MY GOSH REI-CHAN!" Nagisa squealed as he basically gyrated in his seat, "HE DID IT OMG HE DID IT I CANT BELIEVE HE DID IT!!"

"Uhm, who...did what, exactly?" Rei asked as he awkwardly shifted in his seat. Sometimes Nagisa can get a bit... overwhelming.

"The thing! He did THE THING," Nagisa stressed as he waved his phone around like a child with a new toy, "He kissed Haru!"

Rei raised a brow in surprise in hearing this as he began to drive again, he couldn't help but feel happy for his friends, "Oh, well we should congratulate them, then, yes?"

"Uh YEAH definitely!" Nagisa teased, "That is if they aren't asleep by the time we get there~"

"Oh please, we are not that late! I'm sure the other's haven't even gotten their sleeping bags prepared yet. We'll be fine" Rei retorted with an embarrassed flush tinting his cheeks.

A few minutes had passed and Nagisa had already exhausted his energy. He was practically dozing off in the passenger's seat. Rei looked over at Nagisa for a moment and laughed quietly to himself. They were almost there, but it felt like there was still some long ways to go due to all of the traffic. Despite Rei's attempts to calculate the fastest route with the less traffic, it still took a while. He looked at Nagisa once more, blushing as he began to slide one hand off the steering wheel and onto Nagisa's open hand. It was so small and delicate, it made Rei's glasses fog up. Nagisa shifted slightly, Making Rei regret every decision and effort he had ever mad up to this point, but quickly relaxed as he felt Nagisa's hand grip lightly on to his hand. It made him smile as he looked onto the slow-moving traffic, cherishing this small moment that they shared.

About an hour had passed and the had finally arrived. Rei had kept his hand intertwined with Nagisa's the entire time. As he parked, he gingerly stirred Nagisa.

"Nagisa, we're here," he spoke out softly.

Nagisa groaned as he sat up in his seat, "finally..." he joked with a small smirk as he gave Rei's hand a light squeeze.

The two let go of each other and exited the car. As Rei came around to Nagisa's side to walk with him to the doorstep, Nagisa leaned up and pecked him on the cheek. Rei blushed wildly as he cleared out his voice and Nagisa Chuckled. Once the two were at the door, Makoto quickly swung it open and invited them in. Nagisa hugged Makoto tightly and ran inside to bother Haru while Rei politely entered and set his things down neatly where they should be.

"This night will most definitely be a night to remember," Makoto thought, "I can feel it..."
