Second semester started in a zoom. Halos parang wala ring bakasyon because I spent my remaining free days sa advance reading ng mga libro ko. This sem will be all majors kaya naman sobrang hectic ng sched ko. Accounting 1 ang pinakamabigat kong subject tong sem na to because it will be the basis if I can proceed to my second year.
Our block was still intact though may mga lumipat ng school pero halos hindi rin kami nabawasan.
Magkakasama kami ngayon nina Iya sa library. Medyo malaki ang gap ng class namin kaya naman we decided to stay here instead of cafeteria.
"Iya, naglabas na ba ng result ng Dean's list?" Leon was one of the smartest but also the laziest in class. Para bang innate ang katalinuhan niya?
"Now that you mention it, mamaya siguro lalabas na iyon" Saamin sigurong grupo ay ako lang ang hindi masyadong conscious sa pagiging Dean's list because I'm satisfied kung above average ang grade pero okay lang rin naman kung mataas.
After our class ay dumiretso kami sa bulletin boards para nga tignan ang listahan. And there it was at mukang kalalagay lang. Iya and Ivan were there and also Don. Hindi na ako nag abala na tignan pa ang listahan.
"Hey, hindi mo ba hahanapin ang pangalan mo don?" mostly of our block was there.
"2nd honor, number 3" napalingon ako don sa nagsalita. It was Don. 1st honor siya number two. What do you expect right?
Napatingin ako sa listahan. And there it was, my name! Didn't expect it but I've really studied hard on my exams. Iya was the rank 1 at .5 lang ang lamang niya kay Don. Their GPAs are really far from the next ones.
We decided to dine out para naman i celebrate ang nangyari. Buong group namin ay nakasama sa Dean's list. I think we deserve it. Iya said it was her treat dahil sa pagiging Top 1 niya. Ivan was really happy for her but you can sense some disappointment in gis eyes dahi nasa 2nd honor list lang siya. Everyone was talking about the list.

Weeks passed and I'm really busy with this semester but then I still made time for other things. ROTC training was now more rigid than ever. Everyone was very busy polishing every drill, their uniforms, cadence even their counting in commands. Military stakes were now being tested, the Commandant invited random drill instructors to test out our performance. We were all nervous because of the coldness and strictness of the instructors and they seemed to be so demanding.
A week from now will be the LAGTI, kaya naman the unit required the cadets that are part of the parade will be having their rehearsal tomorrow, Sunday. Few reacted but wala narin naman silang magagawa because it was presented with a letter and strict attendance.
Military stakes were not required to attend the extended training pero kung gusto naman namin ay pwede rin kaming pumunta.
Pauwi na kami ng sinabayan ako maglakad ni Mack. I can see that he's already exhausted with today's activity pero he still kept his charming smile. Iya motioned me na mauuna na siya kaya naman hinayaan ko na itong umalis kaagad.
"Are you going to school tomorrow?" Sa totoo lang ay hindi pa ako sigurado dahil may mga naiwan pa akong assessment pero kaya ko naman tapusin yon ngayon gabi.
"Not sure, If I can finish all my works tonight siguro I can go tomorrow" Ngayon ay nasa tapat na kami ng sasakyan na susundo saakin.
"Well don't force yourself to finish it tonight, hindi naman kayo required na umattend" nag tanggal na siya ng upper uniform niya kaya naman nagyon ay naka black tshirt na ito at naka sabit sa kanyang leeg ang isang dog tag.
