We celebrated Lucy's birthday by bringing her to an amusement park. We were exhausted by the end of the day.
Lucy fell asleep on the way home. The car was silent. Simon and I haven't made any amends with each other .
"Simon" I called him.
Silence. What is he ignoring me?
"Simon baby" I called him again. But still silence .
I sighed and and stopped pursuing him. After all I'm still tired and I still have a flight tomorrow. I'll be staying at New York for a whole month.
"Baby please . I'm going tomorrow and we wouldn't see each other for a long time" I pleaded
"And you wouldn't say sorry or something?" He asked
"Couldn't you understand that this is my job simon!"
"But you're not giving me enough time!"
"You're a grown man. You should understand. Stop being a jerk "
"I just want more time with you Adele!"
"For gods sake Simon we live in the same house! Isn't that enough?"
He fell silent and sighed.
"You know what? Let's take a break. Have some space"
"What are you talking about?" I asked scared and astounded
"I just want to have a fucking space Adele! Just let me be!" He shouted.
Lucy started to wake and opened her eyes.
"What's going on?" She asked
"Nothing baby, just go to sleep were going straight to grandmas"
Simon said
I just sat there silent. Gently wiping my tears.
He just always gave up so easily. I didn't bother to talk to him.
We dropped Lucy to her grandma.
"I'm just gonna taka you home and I'll get my clothes" he said not sounding regretful
"Simon what are you doing? Shouldn't we talk about this first? How about Lucy ?" I asked him almost pleading
"She not your baby nor her mother so just stay out of it!" He said
I love Simon, but sometimes I couldn't fathom the fact that he talk to me like this.
Maybe. We really need a break.
"Could I guarantee that you'll still come back to me Simon?" I asked sounding hopeful
He fell silent and took hold of my hand.
"Tell me Adele. Baby, can I guarantee that you'll still take me back?"
Even how cruel can he be. Whatever he say or do. I'll always love him .
You told me you'll always stay simon but this feels like otherwise.
"Of course baby, I'll always take you back" I said and kissed him one last time.
