Have You Ever Felt

Have you ever felt empty
Like you're lost in the dark
And there is always a shadow
Even without the light
Have you ever felt hollow
Like a dead trees stump
Sitting and waiting to be hurt again
Have you ever felt fear
That creeps up on you everyday
That tries to drown you
When your own tears overflow
Have you ever felt lost
Like a ship in the ocean
when a storm hits
And all of your crew is gone
Have you ever felt hopeless
Like there is no answer
And there is no meaning
Have you ever felt hurt
As your body is casted
And your mind is studied
Have you ever felt
Because this is what it is like to feel
When you have to live with something
Even now you can still feel yourself feeling
Because everyone does
But combine all of the feelings that I mentioned to you
Make that your heart
And that my friend is only 1%
1% of a single heart
A heart held together by glue
Glue that has tried so many times to give
But only when it gives will you feel the whole
Only when the whole is felt is when you will know
Know the struggle of a single humans trying days
Trying days full of sadness and pain
From only one heart we can see only a glimpse of the Depression
