So are you excited to see who the girl is? The one that Callie does not want to see...

I'm really running out of things to say in these author notes at the beginning....

I know it's been out for a while, but who has seen Catching Fire?! I looooooved it!

"Happy birthday!" Scott, Dylan, and Julia yelled as I walked into the kitchen.

"There won't be anything happy about it." I told them as I sat down on Dylan's lap. He kissed my shoulder.

"Well that's the spirit." Julia joked.

"They forgot. It's always every like two years on the second Saturday of July." Scott said. Dylan tapped my thigh a few times before I realized that he wanted me up.

"Sorry." He told me and pecked my lips.

"So what did you make me?" I asked.

Dylan set a plate of food down in front of me. Two eggs made the eyes, a piece of bacon made the smile, and two bacon pieces made the eyebrows.

"Bon appetite, my beautiful birthday girl." He said and set a glass of juice in front of me along with a bowl of fruit.

"We have to leave!" I yelled to Scott. Dylan and I were only staying tonight then coming home tomorrow. Scott and Julia were staying until Monday. For what reason? I have no idea and I kind of didn't care.

Dylan grabbed my backpack from my hands and put it over his shoulder.

"The cab is waiting!" Julia yelled to Scott. He walked by us, carrying his and Julia's bags.

Over the past couple of weeks I've noticed that Scott has changed, a little. He does a lot for her. It might be because she's pregnant with his son or daughter, but it's a lot more than he's ever done for any other girl.

I mean it's a good change, it's just strange to witness.

"Callie!" Emma yelled. I turned around and she hopped off her bike. She ran over to me. "I would've been here earlier, but.." She went on and unzipped her backpack. "I have your present."

"No." I said holding my hands out.

"Callie." She said and pushed the purple bag into my hands. I hugged her, giving up.

"Thank you, Em."

"Happy birthday." She smiled. I got into the cab and watched as she rode off, back towards campus.

Once we got settled on the plane I unwrapped the gift. Under the tissue paper was a photo frame. In the frame was a picture of Emma and I. It was the first night that we hung out. Around the frame was a little letter written. I smiled as I flipped it around to read it.

Callie,
I'm so happy to call you my friend. Before meeting you my life was quite boring. Seriously. You are so nice, funny, creative, and so much more. You are beautiful inside and out. Thank you for everything. Love you, best friend.
Love, Emma

I looked up to Dylan. He looked to me and I wrapped my arm around him and buried my head in his neck.

"I love her." He laughed and ran his hand up and down my back.

"And you said you weren't good at making friends."

"You're here!" Mom smiled and ran to us.
