The party slowly began to take off as the thousands of masked people swayed to the music. In the distance, you heard your father laughing and drinking with his close friends. Your family the (L/N) were the biggest mafia gang in Gotham city. You were known as princess to everyone your father knew. Your brother was soon to take on the business after your dad retired in a few years. You were the youngest of three and your mother had been mingling with familiar guest that attended.

You fixed your (f/c) mask and moved to try and find your best friend. You had just turned 23 three months ago. The bar was packed with high elite figures of the underground money world. Even Mr.Cobblepot decided to attend tonight's festivities.

You finally snug a bottle of Smirnoff vanilla from the counter passing by. Selina taught you way the way of a thief in her spare time. You drank the night away becoming probably the most wasted you've been in your life. You noticed a man in the distance who soon noticed you. He walked his way over to you smiling a charming smile.

"Well hello pretty lady." He stood before you his cologne hitting your nose.

"Hi! I'm Y/N!" You offered your hand lazily with slurred speech.

"Oh. Looks like you can't handle your liquor." He took you to the terrace in which you follow dragging yourself. In your mind, it felt like your body had become a sack of flour.

"I'm Floyd.." He spoke calmly and the night breeze hit your face. You remained silent trying to gain control of yourself.

"Hold...on." You managed to get out so it wouldn't seem you were being rude. Surely, he could have left you inside to struggle around.

"So is this your type of thing?" He questioned sitting next to you on the long lounge chair.
You nodded smiling to the man the hardest you possibly could.

"How'd you know?!" You slapped his broad shoulder. He only let out a stiff laugh.

"I should probably go mingle some more. Are you okay out here by yourself?" He stood up and you noticed a small device under his sleeve.

"Yeah. I'm fine. I want to look out into this muggy scenery anyway." You frowned and turned around.

-30 minutes later-
The alcohol soon died down enough for you to move around without almost falling on your face. Your oldest sister was at the winding stairs being the diva she always was. Men were surrounding here as if she were Aphrodite. You rolled your eyes making your way to your father. The doors slammed opened and a tall heavy man walked in.

"Where is the man who loves to lie?" The people made a pathway for him and his crew. You stood near your father's table and watched his men hold weapons.

"Oh come on now Phil! It's a ball. You're making a scene for no reason. Enjoy yourself." Your father looked at Phil standing up.

"Unfortunately.....no can do. Ever since you ruined our heist, I've had to set it even. Why not tonight at this marvelous event?" He smiled and he eyed you quickly.

"She's grown into a beautiful woman eh." He raised his eyebrow in a mischievous thought.

"You perv." You spat out anger due to the history he's caused to your family.

"Now now. I wouldn't go opening that pretty mouth around me. Might end up meeting your maker." He frowned and stepped to the side.

"You are the nastiest man I've ever met. Go! Nobody wants you here." The alcohol ignited your anger even more. You began to walk towards the center crossing path with your father.

Phew!

You felt something pelt your arm quickly. You fell onto your parents due to the impact. An ear piercing scream erupted out of you. Everyone began to scatter like ants. You looked into the crowd towards the bar as the man you met earlier stood shocked with his arm up.

He ran out towards the terrace to his escape. Phil soon looked around to look for the suspect. You started to cry as blood soon dripped onto your dress and your parents.

"It's going to be okay." You mother cooed trying to calm you. The intense, empowering pain continued on. Phil and his gang ran out as your family waited for the police.

Floyd's POV:
What the hell! I've never missed in my entire life except once. She moved to fast before I could aim at her father's head. I seen her beautiful (eye color) notice me as I stood bewildered. I felt a slight pain in my chest. I couldn't be feeling anything. This business can't require love. Wait! I can't be in love. I just met her.

I ran out the room and over the terrace with my grappling gun in my hand. I made it to my getaway car. I still couldn't believe I missed. My million dollars are now gone. I failed. But...again she got hit with my bullet. I've never hit a woman not children before. My motto and motive are shattered within this moment. I drove to my hideout and began to think of a way to make it up to Phil. I needed that money....

Back to you(😊)
Your mother was the first face you seen as you awoke from your slumber. The doctors said the bullet nearly grazed an artery. Your father stood a the window peeking through. You already knew that your father would be paranoid.

Another family 'vacation' would soon take place. Your mind quickly traveled to tonight's early events. Who was that man in the mask? Clearly, he was hired to kill your father. You smiled softly remembering his soft nature around you. However, you pushed them aside knowing it all had no meaning to him.

Who knew this wouldn't be the last time you've seen the masked man?
