Clark Kent:
(Just so you know if I write in the sentence with a / you choose between the two objects or whatever. Ex. Purple/Blue, Puppies/Kittens. Anyway read on. <3)
You had always been the introvert among crowds and friends in social type settings. It wasn't because you were strange or crazy, but because you just never felt confident by being yourself. There's nothing wrong with that at all. It actually shows your character.
Tonight at the Cafe Bella, the restaurant was holding a speed dating event which was a way to help yourself get used to building confidence with people. You spent hours on picking the most comfortable outfit for you whether it be a skirt, dress, or nice jeans.
You sat the far end of the table looking over the sheet with basic questions to help the conversations run smoothly. You seen a tall gentlemen sit down and extend his hand towards you.
"Hello." You spoke first gently taking the large hand for the hand shake.
"Hello beautiful (your name)." He smiled and slid his chair close to the table. You were about to ask how he knew your name, but you remembered that the place gave you a name tag.
"Dean? Like Winchester?" You giggled realizing how dorky you sound.
"Oh. I wish unfortunately not. But you might want to keep your salt handy." He joked with you and you felt a little twinge in your chest.
You were down to the middle of the line and so far Dean was the only person you seemed to click with. The conversation flew so smoothly and you could almost be the real you.
You looked at your next partner who seemed to be out of his element as well. He wore glasses that hid most of the frame of his face. He turned his head towards you smiling friendly and you slid into your sit slowly.
"Hi. You seem a bit nervous." You heard the bell signal and he nodded a bit quickly.
" Is it that bad? My friends wouldn't let me join them until I at least scored a date." He unbuttoned the top button his black button up. You snickered a bit watching his behavior as it made you intrigued.
"Don't worry. You got this. If anything I would be the one without a date. I'm just that girl who cannot show an ounce of weird without having people running away." He laughed and leaned forward beginning to get comfortable.
"Is that so? I'm pretty sure you never gave a presentation on a project and tripped making your way to the front?" He teased and looked at you with those blue eyes that could make any girl go crazy.
"Oh that's nothing. I tripped going up the stairs of my workplace. UP! I stayed there even when people were offering me help." The two of you started to break the ice by talking about what makes you too clumsy.
"TIME'S UP!" The announcer yelled during the last sentence you said about your bad hair day. Clark sat up and pouted a bit realizing that this night could all fade into a memory. You stood reluctantly and grabbed an old receipt writing on it quickly your number.
"Don't be a stranger." You moved down the line and he watched you not noticing the glare of the woman before him.
~End of the Night~
You wrapped the sweater around you and found your keys walking towards thew exit. You felt a hand touch your back swiftly.
"Are you leaving so soon?" Dean spun you and stared into your eyes with a grin.
"Yeah, it's over and I have work in the morning." You swung your purse/backpack over your shoulder(s).
"Aw at least get a coffee with me. We can't let this moment end like this." He pulled out a lighter and you bit your lip hard.
"Actually, I can. Also, that's not cool and not healthy at all. That's coming from a doctor." You sighed and headed towards the door not before turning to look to at the door. You rammed into a person falling on your butt.
"Are you okay?" You sat up slowly and seen Clark with a panicked look on his face.
"Yes. What are you made of stone?" You giggled but he remained silent flushed in the face.
Clark helped you up and you wanted to tell Dean take care, however he was no longer standing there. You rolled your eyes and bent your head back to look at the tall man.
"Uh...it's fine. Sorry about running into you." You walked to the door letting Clark hold it open for you. (Because chivalry is not dead.)
"No it's okay. But, if go out with me sometime next week and I'll forget about it." He strolled beside you to your car and you a lump in your chest. Even you could tell that wasn't normal for him.
"Well...depends on my schedule and if my hospital won't be busy." You unlocked your car and sat in the seat.
"Perfectly fine. I do have your number. Stay safe and goodnight." He quickly spoke and jogged away.
He was a peculiar man that was for sure. That just the way you liked him.
