I was woken up the next morning by Laurence barraging through my door. "Oh my Irene y/n! We're the hell have you been?! You had me worried! I woke up this morning and you weren't in your bed!" I sat up, blinking my eyes open, "wha?" I asked confused "y/n! Wake up! Where have you been? why are you here!?" I stood up dusting myself off. "I couldn't sleep so I came here, I didn't feel like walking back to the guard tower so I stayed the night, it is my house." I said slightly annoyed at having to wake up to Laurence screaming at me. He rolled his eyes and looked at me. His expression quickly changed from one of annoyance to shock and confusion, "What in the name of Irene?!" He exclaimed looking behind me. I turned to see what he was on about when Alden floated in front of me. "Oh! This is Alden! He's, my fairy." I said. Laurence just looked at me like I had completely flown off my rocker. "I-I don't what?!" I rolled my eyes again and sighed. "Apparently every fairy is tied to some living being who has a natural connection with fairies, and apparently I have one of those 'special connections' and this is my fairy, Alden" I said gesturing to the orb that was floating in the air between us. "So you can understand him?" He asked, a look of disbelief spread across his face. "How did you find him?"
"He was a messenger fairy." I said shrugging my shoulders. "But aren't they useless after they have delivered their message?" Alden jingled in my ear. "How rude." I nodded my agreement. "What's he saying?" Laurence asked "he says you're rude, and he's right. Alden isn't just a messenger fairy, he's special." I said crossing my arms over my chest. "Why is he special?"
"Because, he's my fairy, our life energies are connected." Laurence seemed to ponder a bit before replying, "you're just full of surprises." He said with a chuckle. I raised my eyebrow "is that supposed to be a compliment?" I asked. "Yes, it's a compliment." I smiled "well thank thank you."

A few days had passed since Danny's a rival and Dante was trying his best to avoid her. Danny had been helping me finish my kitchen and I stepped back now to admire our work. The cupboards were oak, along with matching counters. There was a round oak table that sat in the middle of the room with four chairs sat around it. I nodded my head and smiled. "It looks great thanks." I said to Danny. "No problem, it's the least I could do." Alden jingled in my ear, "it looks great!" he said cheerfully.I bit my lip and put my hand on my chin thinking about how I wanted to do the rest of the rooms. "well the living room shouldn't take too long, maybe we could make a trip to one of the larger villages to see if we could find some furniture," I said more to my self than Danny. "I know Okasis has some nice things, but I'm not sure it's the safest idea," I hummed, lost in thought. "if i keep my face covered I think I will be able to keep my cover,"
"are you sure it's worth the risk?" Danny chimed in. I sighed, well I can't hide here in Phoenix Drop forever, and I'm sure that there won't be anyone from v/n specifically looking for me, I think if we lay low, no one will recognize us." Danny shrugged her shoulders, "if that's what you want." I bobbed my head, "that means you need to stay hidden" I said directing my attention who floated in the air next to me. "do you have a bag or something I could hide in?" he asked "yes I do" I said nodding my head. "I will go tell Aphmau about our trip." I said as I left the house.
I found Aphmau wondering the village streets. I approached her and informed her about my leaving to Okasis. "are you sure that's the best idea?" he asked I nodded my head, "we're only going to acquire some hardware, it shouldn't take long and I don't think anyone will recognize me, as long as I don't draw any attention to myself."
"ok, ill send you with a horse and buggy so you can bring the equipment back." she said. I offered her a smile. "thank you." I said, "are you planning on leaving today? I can have it ready by noon at the front gate"
"yes, thank you again." I said before I left. I made it back to my house and informed Danny that we were to leave at noon. "do you have money?" I offered her a devilish grin that said 'you're kidding right?' as I pulled out a brown coin bag from under a loos floorboard that I had noticed when I first started working on the house. "I took this when I made my escape from the castle, I had always kept a stash hidden in my closet in an old hat box, I made sure to grab it when I left." I said holding up the bag of gold. Danny smiled, "alright then, I guess were set, we just need to figure out what all we are getting." I nodded, "right." I walked to the center of the living room, "we could use a couch, and a rug, maybe a table or two." I said furrowing my brows as I thought, "anything else we need I'm sure we can get here in Phoenix Drop." I looked out the window to find the sun, "we should get going, it's almost noon, and I need to stop at the guard tower so I can grab something."
