Chapter 3

"It's a girl's day out... sorry Alessandro... girls only" I respond a bit coldly. Alejandra and Rebecca give me a shocked look and Sidney smiles a little.

"Ok" he responds quietly.

The class period passes by fast and we come back from lunch and we leave our class next to 4th period.

On my way there my friend Matthew, one of my brother's friends comes up to me and i smile.

Matthew has been one of my best guy friends, we are like brothers, I'm kind of thankful I have Matthew for my fourth period so I wouldn't be alone with Alessandro.

"Hey Nancy" Matthew smiles showing his perfect white teeth. I smile and give him my daily friend hug. Some of my friends have asked us if we were dating but we always say we are like brother and sister. We enter Mythology class and I see that Alessandro is for the first time on time.

What I love about Mythology is that it's not tables in this class but desks. Matthew and I sit in our assigned seat which is right in front of Alessandro which I'm not happy about.

"Gonzalo organized another soccer playoff at your house again, are you going to join us?" Matthew asks curious.

"I might, I don't usually play but I'll give it a try" I smile.

"Who's this Nancy?" Alessandro buts in. I mentally groan, Matthew just gives Alessandro a who are you? Look.

"Alessandro, this is my best friend Matthew, Matthew, this is Alessandro" I introduce both of them.

"You're not dating him right?" Matthew put in the overprotective brother role. I laugh out loud and Matthew gets the signal that I'm not.

"Don't worry Matthew, I'm still looking for my hot vampire" I smile.

I turn to Alessandro and notice he got quiet and was as white as a ghost. I give him a confused look and he shakes out of his trance and begins to the warm-up.

Matthew and I did the same and Mrs. Lavender (Nicole's mother) started class.

There is a huge difference with Nicole and her mother. Mrs. Lavender was a really sweet teacher and cared for all her students, she is truly like a mother to us. Nicole is always the drama show off queen and her mother never sees it.

Nicole acts like the perfect innocent daughter in front of her mom, ha! She's anything but innocent!

"Ok class! Today I have lots of grading to do so if you have not turned in work you can work on it now and turn it in for a grade" says Mrs. Lavender right after she goes over the warm-up.

I pull out all of my assignments and place it on her desk and she smiles warmly at me, I smile back and sit back in my desk. In the corner of my eye I see Matthew glare at Alessandro.

"Matthew did you turn in your work?" I ask him.

He turns to me "oh yeah that..." he says and pulls out his worksheets and turns them in.

We are similar in many ways...

We both love eating broccoli with melted cheese and when my mom makes it, Matthew, my brother and I have competition on who could finish it first.

"Done" says Matthew sitting back in his desk. Alessandro stopped talking to us and began to do the assignments Mrs. Lavender told him to do since he is new. Matthew and I lean on our desks and relax when Matthew speaks again "So how's it been with your mom and dad's issue?" he asks more seriously.

"Well my dad is married the pole dancer , but i can already tell she is cheating on my dad, and my mom is just tired of men, she says there's a small chance that she will marry again" I say quietly so no one in the room can hear.

Matthew pats me on the back "You need a time off, usually best friends will advise to get a boyfriend, but I don't want a boy breaking your heart, so we should organize a trip on the upcoming christmas break" he smiles excitedly.

I smile widely and nod "we should go visit my cousins in California, they live near San Francisco and we can go party!" I squeal.

"Gonzalo and I will party, we don't want you there, guys might want to dance or do something to you" he frowns.

"AWW but Mathew..."

"No buts Nancy, we can take you to the beach and festivals, that's it" he says sternly. I frown and pull out my Chromebook and begin to read on Wattpad.

I get into a few chapters and smile at how cute the couple act.

"Nancy" his smooth accented voice whispers in my ear.

I shiver slightly and turn to meet Alessandro's face, his face is only 2 inches away from mine I feel slightly his minty breath and I try not to blush "What do you want Alessandro"

"Meet me at your locker in 10 minutes" he whispers.

Suddenly not being able to control my body I nod and slowly turn around. I glance and notice Matthew sound asleep, I sigh in relief that he didn't see any of that. Alessandro leaves the class and I can tell he went to my locker.

I wait for over 10 minutes and stand up and walk over to Mrs. Lavender."Mrs. Lavender, may I go to the nurse?" I ask acting shy.

"Did 'that' happened?" she asks concernedly.

"Yes" I act embarrassed.

"Ok" she smiles warmly.

I exit the class and head to my locker, and like predicted, Alessandro was leaning on my locker as I approached him. I stop my tracks when I notice a picture of me in his hands. It was a selfie Alejandra and I took on the Halloween dance, alejandras face was choped off, it was before I got contacts.

I love my eye color, but I wanted to try a new color and I needed glasses since my eyesight got worse so I got blue eyes contacts for my eyesight and a new look.

"Where did you get that?" I give him a confused look. Only Alejandra and I have that picture.

"I found it in your phone, your phone fell out when you left physics" he says pulling out my phone from his pocket. I gasp and snatch my phone as fast I could.

I unlocked my phone and went through my files,I found the picture was in my gallery, also the pictures of me and my ex boyfriend Leo. my eyes get watery and I send Alessandro a glare "Why did you get into my personal stuff" I hiss.

He stays quiet for a moment and a tear accidentally escapes and i run past him. I run outside through the back door of the school, I go around and spot my car and rush towards it. Before I'm able to open my door Alessandro is suddenly in mid air and appears. He traps me between him and my car.

"Why did you run off like that" he asks madly.

"No one told you to get in my personal stuff!! If my phone fell out then you could've just gave it to me without checking through my stuff" I hiss while a few tears were streaming down my cheeks. I didn't care if he saw me cry, I didn't care that he saw me weak.

All I cared that Leo and I are the only ones that have seen those pictures of us kissing at the lagoon. It was a happy day for us, we didn't want to share it with no one. I look up at Alessandro and see his eyes soften, i wasn't in the mood to be shocked by the sadness in his eyes.

Unexpectedly he engulfs me in a hug, I stiffen but suddenly melt in his arms, the smell of his cologne was so intoxicating and i felt my legs turn into jello. His strong arms holding my waist as I cried.

We stood there for a while and I felt him bury his face into my hair as he inhaled my scent. He kisses my forehead. He slowly lets go and I felt disappointed when he let go. He walks away and I stay there holding on my car door for support because my legs felt wobbly.

What just happened?
