Alex's P.O.V

It's the day after I told Mere I was dropping the trial. I hadn't told her that I didn't go through with it or that Jo stopped me. The only person I told is Bailey so I wouldn't loose my job. Today was the day that defined if I was going to be a surgeon again. Today is Trial Day.

Jo's P.O.V

I am nervous for today but I am not nervous at the same time. I feel that Alex has a good chance of staying this time, but it all comes down to The Judge. As I walked into the Residence Locker room I saw DeLuca which is I have been meaning to ask him about yesterday.

"Hey." I said to start off the conversation.

"Oh uh hey." He said a little unsteadily.

"So about yesterday, why were you acting so strange around me?"

"I have a lot on my mind about the trial and everything that has happened in the past month."

"Yea I understand. I guess I will see you at the trial."

"Yea for sure." After He said that I just walked off because I feel like he is hiding something more than he has a lot on his mind. But whatever its not my business anyways. All my thoughts from the past month just started whirling in my head. My thoughts were interrupted by the sound of my pager ringing like crazy. I was being paged to trauma.

"What do we got?" Meredith said as she put gloves on.

"Broken rib cage and it looks like the right foot isn't getting any blood flow." I stated as I examined the patient.

"Book an O.R."

"Yes, Dr.Grey."

Alex's P.O.V

I was practically in Bailey's office 2 hours. She gave me a lecture about how stupid I was and to not throw away a career that I could enjoy doing for the rest of my life and you know the rest of Bailey's lecture she normally gives me.

"Do you understand?"

"Yes I do I know it was stupid and it wont happen again."

"Yea your right it wont happen again. Not for any girl. Ok?" I just nodded my head.

"Ok now get out here and do some work." Bailey said and I walked out. I was walking down the hallway when I saw Mere in the window scrubbing in. I decided to go in and try to ease things with her.

"Mere?" I said.

"Well you are standing in front of me so I guess that means you are staying?" She said.

"No I didn't go through with it."

"I guess my voice mail really did work."

"Yea. Something like that." I mumbled.

"Well I got to get in the O.R. but you want to go out for drinks later after your trial."

"Yea sure." I said as I walked out. I looked down at my phone, it was only 9:58 a.m.

"This is going to be a long day." I thought to myself as I walked down to the clinic.

Jo's P.O.V

I brought my dress and shoes with me to work so I could just change at work. As I was walking to my car, looking at my phone, I bumped in to someone.

"Sorry." I said as I looked up at the familiar face.

"It's alright." Shane Ross said.

"Oh My God! Shane when did you get back."

"I am not back I am just visiting."

"Oh ok. Well I have to go, but we have to catch up."

"Yea I will call you later."

"Ok." I exclaimed as I finished walking to my car. As I walked up to the front of where the trial will be taken, I stopped. I just looked at the building for a few minutes. Then, I took a deep breath and walked in.

I tried to make it longer this time. Hopefully you enjoyed this chapter. I will update as much as I can.
