I walked into the hospital. I'm just going to get a pregnancy test from here because it is more accurate. I try to avoid eye contact with everyone. I put my head down and keep walking. I make it to the supply closet, I get the test and run to the bathroom.
I have been waiting for about 5 minutes now. I slowly look at the test.
Positive
I have to tell him. I sprint out of the bathroom and towards Alex with the test in my pocket.
"Jo what are you doing here?" Alex said.
"I need to talk to you now." I said.
"I'm a little busy right now but.." Alex stated. Instead of listening to his response I just pulled him into an oncall room.
"Jo seriously I need to get back to my patient." I just pull out the pregnancy test. His face is blank and I don't know what to think.Then he just breaks out a huge grin. He picks me up and twirls me around. We kiss and everything feels right.
*************** 5 years later ******************
" Lacy can you please come down here." I say. My daughter Lacy will be 5 soon which is crazy to think about. I got a divorce with my husband and married the man of my dreams. I love him and Lacy so much.
They make everday better.
I finally did something right in my life, and its the best thing that has ever happened to me.
