Scrub in

Lunch

"I'm so lost," I say looking at Dr. Fuller.
"Me to," she says which basically translates to 'We're both screwed.'
"Do your remember how to get to the cardio wing?" I ask. I really didn't want to ask Kaden my first day but......
"Want to go see your boyfriend again," she smirks.
"He's an attending it's his job to help the interns," I say but truly I do want to see him again. I don't know why I mean I know this is a bad idea and you shouldn't date at work and everything else but I really do like this man.
"Let's just ask a nurse," she says,"Excuse me do you know where the cafeteria is?" Something about the way the nurse turns.....
"Susan!" I say excitedly as I run to hug her
"Addison Bailey, after all this time," she says smiling. We hug and Dr. Fuller looks very confused.
"Hi I'm Dr. Amanda Fuller," she say. This is the first time I have heard Amanda's first name.
"Susan Blinker RN," she says shaking Amanda's hand.
"Ok Susan I have 30 minutes for lunch, can you show me where the cafeteria is?" I ask.
"Sure it's my lunch break," she says. We begin to walk. All the time talking and telling stories Susan and I of our college experiences, and Amanda of her life. We laugh I find that we will all be good friends. This is amazing my best friend from collage, my fellow intern, and the head of Caridothorastic surgery. This will be a nice place for the next 6 years or more.
We talk and tell stories until our 30 minutes our up. We all head back to the surgical floor. Susan heads back to the nurse's station. We walk back to the grand staircase to meet Dr. Yetc, "It's time to get your pagers. When your pager goes off you go to the room then! A patent could die because of your negligence. That will not only be on you but on me as well, and I will not let this happen!" We go and get our pagers and test them. Dr. Yetc begins, "Dr. Fuller your in the ER, Dr. Joe neuro, Dr. Webster pediatric, Dr. Grant orthopedic, and Dr. Bailey cardio." Amanda shoots me the 'I told you so,' glance, and she's right. I meet the amazing head of cardio and the I'm on his service. That does sound a little suspicious. Even I'm not that blind.
"Hi Addison," he says.
"Dr. Mills," I say.
"Quite a difference from this morning," he says.
"Please don't call me Addison. At work I am Dr. Bailey." I snap back. His navy blue scrubs are total opposite of my mint green ones.
"So I can't call you Addison at work?" He asks.....he has some angle I can tell.
"Right." I say.
"So can I call you Addison on a date?" He asks. 'Stay calm. Stay calm.'
"Yes...." I say. 
"So will you go on a date with me Dr. Addison Bailey?" He asks. 'Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.'
"Yes," I say.
"Ok great, let's go see our first patent then Dr. Bailey." He says smiling.
