My Life As an Agent of SHIELD On Hold

Chapter Four

Ember POV
I looked from Coulson to the boy and deadpanned and pointed at him.
"Him? Really? Sir he's a teenager" I said exasperatedly
"So are you" Coulson pointed out
"Touche, but still no offense but he doesn't exactly look like agent material" I responded gesturing to him "he looks more suited for a boy band." I added with a slightly distasteful tone. The boy let out a wry laugh and looked at me like 'Are you serious?!' and said
"I'll have you know that I was the top HYDRA agent before SHIELD broke me out" I immediately jumped back and pulled out my sidearm pointing it at him. He jumped back putting his hands up in surrender and director Coulson stepped in lowering my gun.
"Whoa, whoa there's no need for that agent," He said with a nervous smile "he's still getting used to how we do things here." He added
"Yeah, sorry,  force of habit," the blonde said rubbing the back of his neck "By the way, I'm agent 104." He said holding his hand out for me to shake. I looked over at Coulson with a look of pure horror and simply said
"No," when they gave me 'excuse me?' looks I add "Sir that's not a name, that's a number. I'm not being teamed up with a number, I'm being teamed up with a person. If I'm going to be a part of this project I'm going to have a partner with a name, call me when you find one." With that I turned on my heel and began to leave before the blonde said
"If I remembered my name why do you think I'd be here right now?" I stopped turning to face him with a look of uncertainty before he continued "I'm here because I don't even know if I had a name, so if you want to find out what mine is then we're in the same boat." I looked at him and seeing the sincerity in his eyes I said
"Felix," Earning me a 'what the actual hell?' look from him and continued "your name, at least until you remember your real one, is Felix Yang. Felix comes from the Latin word for happiness and Yang in Chinese mythology from the symbol of Yin and yang, yang is said to be masculine and light, and let's face it dude you're way too happy and friendly." On that note I turned around and left.
