It was almost like a routine for Ryan to smile at Elizabeth when she walked in and she always knew she would smile back, today was the first time they had to do a partner project. Ryan didn't know anyone all that well in the class and neither did Elizabeth, the to silently decided with themselves that they would be partners all it took was a smile and a nod to confirm Elizabeth also wanted her as a partner. Ryan walked over and took the seat next to her, "Hey" She said happily and Elizabeth flushed but smiled back sweetly "Hello" She said politely and shyly "I'm Ryan" She said in a formal and awkward introduction but Elizabeth smiled in understanding "Elizabeth" She says sweetly. Those were the first words the two had exchanged to each other, for the majority of their time they stayed mostly silent as Ryan worked on the fairly easy project the two of them had to do. Ryan worked quickly and soon finished the project and turned back to Elizabeth who seemed to be more interested in reading something on her laptop. In a desperate attempt to make some sort of conversation "So, what're you reading?" Ryan ask curiously, Elizabeth glanced at her for a moment and couldn't help but smile "Just a story on this website" She answered simply "What's it about?" Ryan asks peeking over for a moment but not getting much out of it. "Is it like a cheesy love story?" Ryan asked laughing a little bit and Elizabeth only shrugged slightly embarrassed. Ryan instantly felt bad and gave her another sweet smile "Nothing wrong with a cheesy love story, only matters who you're spending it with" She says sweetly to her and Elizabeth instantly blushed and smiled but didn't respond, Ryan didn't mind that she was just glad her could make her smile. Ryan knew instantly this was the start of a very important friendship.
