"Hey, can I see your phone?" Elizabeth asked one day out of the blue. Ryan pulled out her phone and handed it to her and Elizabeth began to type away and then handed it back "I put my phone number in" She said with a quick and shy smile. Ryan smiled and nodded at her "Awesome...I'll text you after school" Ryan said to her sweetly. The rest of the day seemed to go quietly neither of the two said much to the other one other than simple small talk. Second block ended and she walked with her new friend to her next class. Over the next few weeks of their ever growing friendship Ryan began to feel conflicted about things. She saw Elizabeth differently and tried to ignore it but it wasn't easy, she constantly wondered if Elizabeth felt the same way. It didn't really seem like it to her but then again their was no way for her to tell. Everyday after school Ryan would text Elizabeth and they would talk for the rest of the day, unless Ryan was at Jenn's she always made sure to text Elizabeth as soon as possible. Elizabeth loved getting texts from Ryan, she was never bored when she was there to talk to her. Elizabeth also began to have conflicting feelings about Ryan, she knew Ryan was dating somebody by the background on her phone. The assumption Elizabeth had only grew more and more when after school it would be hours before Ryan would text her or text back. She would learn to hate those days when Ryan wouldn't text her. Ryan was happy though so that was all that mattered. Elizabeth still had Ryan in her life as a best-friend and that seemed to be enough for her. She loved having Ryan as a friend and couldn't think of having her any other way. Elizabeth wouldn't know about the things Ryan and her girlfriend were going through, she wouldn't know for a while.
