In the coming weeks as Elizabeth and Ryan hung out after school Elizabeth noticed how upset Ryan really was. She could put on the fake smile and laugh but knew how much Ryan was truly hurting. She didn't know what Ryan was feeling, Ryan never brought it up and never seemed to wanna talk about it and Elizabeth wasn't about to pester her for answers. The two girls were having another sleepover and Ryan had the same sad attitude and Elizabeth couldn't stand her being so upset. Elizabeth was sitting on her bed as she was changing and when she finished Elizabeth sighed "Ryan why don't you talk to me? Why don't you talk to me about how you're feeling so I can help? You don't know how much it kills me to see you like this" Elizabeth says and Ryan looks up at her swallowing hard "Do you wanna know how I feel..?" Ryan asked slowly turning to face her "For two years I woke up everything morning and there was someone who loved me in every possible way and I loved it. I loved the feeling and all of the sudden it was gone stripped away. I fell in love with someone who didn't trust me enough to hang out with my friend. I loved someone who wanted to fuck some other guy but stilled claimed it was out of love. I feel...empty" Ryan said choking on tears "It killed me to realise that person didn't love me like I loved them.." Ryan began to cry fully now "I wasn't good enough...I never was good enough I tried so hard to be good enough for her and I wasn't.." She said trembling "Every time she would be upset...or think SHE wasn't good enough. I made sure I fixed it! Everytime she said she wanted to kill herself or hurt herself I would fucking fix it because I loved her!" Ryan screamed in anger and sadness "I worked like a machine to make sure we would get better every single time..and then she turned around to me and said I wasn't good enough..." Ryan said quietly "I woke up..thinking she loved me every day like I loved her...and I was wrong" Ryan finished. It was dead silent, Elizabeth wanted to cry but she couldn't she needed to be strong where Ryan couldn't "Come here..." Elizabeth managed to say. Ryan walked over slowly and sat in Elizabeth's lap straddling her waist. Elizabeth took Ryan's face in her hands and looked up at her she was able to smile "I wake up every morning and I love you in every way, I go to sleep every night and I loved you in every way" Elizabeth began "From the day we met there wasn't a moment I ever I didn't love you any differently" She said slowly "And you're wrong...because you are worth it. You're worth all the love in the world..she didn't deserve you. She wasn't worth it, Ryan you're worth so much more then you realise...you must see that" Elizabeth said as Ryan continued to cry "I couldn't ask for a better friend..." Elizabeth said slowly "And if you think for one second you wake up without someone loving you, I can tell you that you are wrong" Elizabeth finishes and it was silent again. Then something happened, something extraordinary that neither of them expected to happen.
