The next day Ryan attempted to find out the what was wrong with Jenn. She explained it was wrong to stay out with someone that late and other things. Jenn cried and Ryan tried to help her, Ryan poured her feelings out trying to help in some way and after a couple hours things were ok. They wouldn't be ok for long, soon enough everything would explode. Jenn and Ryan weren't a team anymore, they were a time bomb. Neither of them knew it was coming or how it'd come but it was creeping up on them. Ryan was in bed and got a text from Elizabeth:
"Hey :)"
"Hey you :), what's up?" Ryan sent back with a smile
"Not much, how're you and Jenn.." Elizabeth asked slowly
"I fixed things, I think we're ok now" Ryan sent back
"Do you hope things will get better?" Elizabeth asked
"Of course" Ryan sent
"Well, good" Elizabeth's heart broke as she read the text, she knew nothing would ever happen between her and Ryan but she couldn't focus on that now
"Yeah :)" Ryan sent back
"Well, anyway I do have a question" Elizabeth said
"What's up?" Ryan asked
"Well are you free Saturday?" Elizabeth asks
"For you? Always ;)" Ryan said slowly forgetting about the conversation she had with Jenn, after all she couldn't stop her from hanging out with her friend right?
"Well, if you wanted we can take a drive to the beach and spend the day there?" Elizabeth offered
"That sounds awesome!" Ryan sent back suddenly excited
"Great, I'll pick you up Saturday morning and we'll take the drive. Sound good?" Elizabeth asks
"Yeah sounds awesome" Ryan sent back happily
Elizabeth smiled to herself, glad she got to have another weekend with Ryan. Her heart fluttered at the thought to spend the day with her. Ryan smiled in her bed and looked over the messages in her phone from Jenn. They were all arguments..and fights it hurt her to think about. Ryan could hardly think that she and Jenn were actually drifting apart. Ryan knew her love for Jenn was true and pure but she didn't know how far Jenn's love went for her. She sighed and looked through Elizabeth and hers messages. She smiled instantly, they were sweet conversations of Elizabeth complimenting her and Ryan would compliment back. Ryan began to get that familiar feeling in heart, a feeling she spent a year trying to ignore. She shook her head and smiled and laid down to fall asleep thinking of Saturday.
