Abby quickly kicked the ground under her board and sent the thing into overdrive. Blood ran down her arm because she'd wiggled out a broken window to escape. As a vampire she would heal soon anyway. She heard the smooth rumbling roar of a Bentley motor and the long beats of someone chasing on foot as well.
The Bentley screeched to a stop in front of her with its tail end still in the alley. How they fit that car through that alley was mystery. She was ready to play as she rolled over the hood and sent the board under the car. She found her still rolling board on the other side. She wobbled slightly from the near miss.
She only made it one block farther when a giant of a man appeared from the shadows. He did it exactly like she could. With slight regret Abby abandoned her skateboard as he took a step forward. Abby smiled as the board got under his foot at just the right time and sent him flying backwards. She giggled as he landed with a thump and she found the drainpipe of the nearest building and scaled it easily. She scrambled to her feet and ran. As she ran out of rooftop she took a flying leap to the next building.
Her plan was simple. Dump all the coke and hash and the assortment of pills into the river. She wouldn't have to open the packets because she had already done that before she went through the window. All she did after she got to the muddy river bank was rip open the book sack and dump its contents. Her pursuers got there five seconds too late.
Abby was crushed between two giants as the bag itself fell from her fingers.
" You done fucked up big time." One of them growled while tossing Abby into the back seat of the Bentley. She shivered despite the warm air blasting out of the vents. The one not driving disappeared in a gust of hot air. The other shut the door before getting behind the wheel. She got a good look at him. This man was no stranger. Abby cautiously tried to open the door.
" You can't open the door from the inside." He said from his seat. With a sigh she accepted her fate.So soon they were dragging her out the car and back into the club. Two extremely strong Shibe men, each holding one of her arms in an unbreakable iron grasp, Almost carried her through. Though people parted, they still had to pass through the crowd to get back to the private offices. The Boss was waiting and angry. The door was shut firmly behind them.
"You got a good reason why I don't slit your throat then send you back to your family in pieces? " Demanded the crimson eyed, pissed off, sexy but scary vampire/ drug Lord/ owner of the club.
"I have no family." Abby said softly. "All I have is a foster father that's do grief stricken that be crawls to you for a quick fix." Now everyone was silent and watching her. Both of her captors had the smooth milk chocolate colored skin that was traditional for Shibe. Their eyes were dark as Axel sighed and rubbed the bridge of his nose.
"Please tell me your ID wasn't fake." He said softly. Abby's silence spoke volumes.
"Alright then. How old are you really? Do. Not. Lie." Abby knew when she was beat.
"Sixteen." She muttered. Axel's hand suddenly slammed against his desk causing Abby to jump.
"Let her go." He growled. Both men immediately complied. " I suggest you find your way back to your tribe." Axel said looking into her eyes. So the man had a brain and knew.
"I... I don't have one." She stuttered. "All I have is..."
"Your vampire guardian. " he finished for her. He sighed again. The man she didn't know spoke up.
"You're talking to her like she's not a vampire." His voice was deep and hit all the same notes as Andre the Giant. Smooth and all bass. Axle looked up and looked at him.
"Ian, my man, she's Shibe." He said slowly as if Ian was slow to comprehend.
