It was Amanda's birthday. She wanted a doll and her grandma went to a toy store with her to get it. When they entered the store, Amanda saw many dolls. There was one doll that sat high up in the shelves but Amanda saw it. She also noticed that the doll held up two fingers. It felt special to her and so she asked her grandma to buy it for her.
When the man at the counter saw that they were purchasing the doll, he said to them, "You won't be able to return the doll once you buy it." But they bought it anyways.
That night, Amanda was awoken of a voice that said, "Amanda,I am at your doorstep!" Amanda got scared and pulled the covers over her head and slept. She was then again awoken by the same voice; "I am at your bedside!" Amanda didn't dare look up.
The next morning, grandma noticed that Amanda wasn't downstairs even after breakfast. Grandma went up to her granddaughter's room only to find her hanging with her throat slit open. She also saw Amanda's doll now holding up three fingers.
