Violet and I were cousins. We both lived playing Hide and Seek. However, 10 years ago, when I was playing with her, it completely changed my mind about playing Hide and Seek at night. I am 19 years old this year and I will tell you my story 10 years ago.

It was a perfect night. My parents told me I would be meeting Violet because our parents needed to discuss something. So that night, I realised my parents were going the wrong way to Violet's house and they said, "Don't worry, Cassy dear. They have moved to a newer house." I sighed as I slumped back into the back seat of my car. I wondered what the new house would look like.

The moment my car pulled up in the driveway, I disagreed completely that this was a new house. It was old, rusty and it definitely didn't look like a new house. It looked somewhat like a haunted house. Nah, they don't exist. Ghosts don't exist and I believe in that. When we entered, Violet was sitting on a chair looking downwards and when she saw me she was like,"Cassy! You're finally here! Can we play Hide and Seek now?" she asked me immediately. I said yes and she pulled me into a room where we would play a small little game to find out who would be the seeker. I had to admit, that house was creepy. So was that room. Also, Violet looked different from when I last saw her. She looked tired and worn out. She had a pale face with ashy purple hair that laid on her shoulders. Last time I saw her, she had blonde hair. However, I still continued to play with her. When I became the seeker, she ran off to the other rooms and I was left there struggling to find where she could possibly be hiding. There were many rooms inside the house. I started walking and soon I heard footsteps behind me and I froze. I thought it was Violet but when I turned around...

"Cassy? Cassy! Where are you? We are leaving!" When my mother shouted, I realised I was sitting in front of Violet. I then ran down the stairs when my mother called me. However, when I reached downstairs, everyone still were looking for me as if I was invisible. I ran up the stairs tofind Violet. All she said when she saw me was, "Believe it or not, you are dead. I am not your cousin nor is your auntie real. It's all in your head. I have played with your family and now, my job is complete." I was then left with her as I felt some walls closing in on me. I then realised the 'walls' had pictures of other children that also might have been killed by her. I also realised that every time she killed someone, her hair would turn a shade darker. And when she is done killing everyone she wants to, she will achieve her desired shade of purple hair.
