"Back so soon, ei?" Came the predictable, cocky reply as Daud allowed Corvo to enter his chambers. "Timing could be better."
"You can talk. But I'm not here for that."
"What a shame. Alright, what else can I do for you?"
"I need you to help me explain to Elaine. Now."
Daud's cheeky smile, rarely missing for long, soon leapt into attendance. "Oh really? And why is that?"
"It would sound better coming from both of us."
The young man chuckled. "My dear Corvo, you know I'm not gonna believe that. More like, you don't want to do it on your own. A fine time to get embarrassed, I must say. You weren't last night."
Corvo didn't reply to that. "So you won't?"
"No. It doesn't need the both of us. Besides, think about it. She already pegs me as a joker, so if I went too, she might not be so understanding once I open my mouth. Again."
Corvo rolled his eyes.
"Furthermore," Daud pushed on, "do you really want me to open my mouth on this? You know what I'm like better than any. Imagine some of the stuff I could say, while you'd be aiming for the far more tactful approach."
Corvo did...and after a few seconds, he shuddered.
"I rest my case." Daud grinned. "Best of luck, old chap."
"This isn't funny."
"You need to petition the Outsider for a new sense of humour, then. I think it's fucking hilarious. Wish I could see it."
"Well I fucking don't. It needs sorting, we've got to work together and this will get in the way. I did not want this."
"Hey, c'mon." Daud walked forwards to take his friend's shoulders and rub them gently. "Personally, I reckon you're making mountains out of molehills, here. Okay, she saw. I rather enjoyed the look on her face, I dunno about yourself. But, she's a pretty broad-minded, clever girl, so I reckon that she'll be just fine with it. It's not as if an Overseer saw me suck your dick, right? I'd bet my left ball that we can trust her. Okay?"
Corvo was slightly shocked at his friend's sudden tenderness, completely unlike the man's usual brash, always-joking manner.
It made him smile. "...I suppose you're right." He said.
"I'm always right."
"I wouldn't go that far."
"That's why I have to." He flashed the older man a quick grin, far more like his normal character. "You gonna go now, then?"
"Yeah. Hoping to catch her alone, before breakfast."
"Wish you gave as much thought to me. Actually..." He pursed his lips, pondering. "...we're alone right now, aren't we?"
"I said I didn't come here for that. And I've not got long."
Daud looked at his watch. "It's just after nine. Breakfast ain't until ten. Even if I were to...detain you for a while, you'd still make it with time to spare."
"I recall the last time you told me five minutes. Five. And how long were we there for, again?"
"You weren't complaining. Best hour you had all day." He began fiddling with the top button of Corvo's shirt. "But, if you insist, I suppose I can actually make it five minutes this time. I'm not normally a compromising kinda man, so I hope that you fully appreciate that sort of gesture."
"I...I don't know. I probably shouldn't." After how embarrassed he'd been from recalling last night, he really didn't want to get into anything so soon again afterwards.
Daud smiled, and leaned forwards to get closer to Corvo's neck, so that the older man would feel the words as well as hear them.
"Those few words sum up our whole relationship," his lips grazed, "what there is of it. Shouldn't, is subjective. By far the more important thing in life, so the wise ones say, is to always strive to do whatever makes you feel good." He paused to brush those lips up to the ear, then back down. "...I make you feel good, don't I?" He whispered. "Fuck it, I make you damn near sing."
Daud heard that familiar catch of breath, and Corvo felt the beginnings of a slight smile against his neck. They both knew.
Corvo wrapped his arms around Daud's lower back; what the hell, he thought, he knows he's already won. "Are you sure that you're in the right profession? Surely, you should be a lawyer."
"Lawyers are worse than High Overseers, but I'll be gracious enough to take it like you intended." Daud grinned. "By my count, that's already five minutes gone. Five minutes that I could have spent grinding you into this bed."
"That's...true, yes."
"Unless you wanna end up looking like you did last night when you see her, I suggest we stop wasting more time, ei?"
He shoved hard, and Corvo's body bounced as it landed on top of the bed they'd both been standing near the side of. As the bounce finished, Daud was already climbing on top of him, sitting over the man's hips and leaning forward to grab handfuls of hair as well as that set of lips. Daud had tendency to be greedy and rough, even when it came to mere kissing, so there was no surprise anywhere in Corvo's body as Daud claimed within seconds.
There was, as always, rather a lot of something else.
There wasn't really time for an overly-long session, so Daud merely chose to grind his already half-hard cock against Corvo's own as he pirated his friend's mouth, plundering eagerly with his tongue. It didn't take very long for Corvo to catch him up on the passionate side of things, and soon, his nails were under that shirt and raking long, red streaks into Daud's back as he arched up to meet each roll of those devilish hips with his own.
The need for kisses and the need for oxygen battled with each other, neither wanting to be left out for too long, as both men got more and more cranked up with each passing minute. Oxygen was finally allowed to win once they'd both hit their peak, leaving them both gasping frantically, with wild, messy hair and even messier underclothes.
In truth, it had taken quite a bit more than five minutes. More like ten or just over, but neither of them cared by that point.
They both had a brief wash to clean themselves up and put their hair back into order, then Corvo was on his way to where he should have been going. Still plenty of time.
