Yukio's POV
I woke up to Kuro tapping my face with his soft paw. "Hey Kuro." I smiled. Kuro jumped down and started to tap Rin's face. I laughed at that. Our own personal alarm clock. Rin woke up and rubbed his eyes. "Hey Kuro." He smiled, petting Kuro. I smiled at them. "Come on Rin. Get ready." I smiled. He did that pouty, sulky face that he does sometimes.
"Fine." He said.I can see things in his eyes. Fear, guilt, happiness, sadness, anger. I don't see too much happiness anymore. Not as much as I used to anyway. It wasn't easy for either of us, finding out that we're demons. I made Rin feel guilty for dad's death. I shouldn't of done that. He didn't know what was happening, he was worried. I shouldn't of said that God I'm so stupid. "Yukio? Are you okay? You look worried?" Rin asked as he walked back in, buttoning up his shirt. I stood up and walked over to him. "Rin." I started "What I said awhile ago. About you killing dad. I was wrong and I'm sorry I wish I said sorry before. You didn't cause dad's death." Rin didn't say anything. He just looked down at the ground. Kuro circled his feet. He could tell that Rin was upset. "You're wrong." Rin said quietly "You were right that day. I killed him. It's my fault. What was said shouldn't of been said. I should've just listened to him instead of saying what I did. Yukio." He said his last word, shaken out of him. He looked up at me, sadness engulfed him. He dived into me, hugging me "I'm so sorry. For everything." He cried into my shoulder.
"It's not your fault Rin. Not all of it." Kuro circled us as I said that. Rin sniffed and regained himself. He wiped away a tear "Thanks little bro." He said before walking off. Kuro looked at me then followed Rin.Not long later we were both walking to class. Rin was in front of me, walking slowly. I was behind, observing him. After what happened earlier I'm kind of worried about him. He's never done that. Cried onto my shoulder. I guess even the toughest of people need support sometimes. "Yuki." I heard a sweet voice say. I turned around and saw Shiemi. "Hey Shiemi." I said. She caught up to me.
"So how was your morning?" She asked. I wasn't sure how to respond. I could trust her. I pushed my glasses up my face.
"Rin had a mini break down so to speak." I said. I looked over to Shiemi. She looked concerned.
"Is he okay? What happened?"
"I can't give details but he ended up crying onto my shoulder. He's never done that. Can I trust you not to say anything Shiemi?"
"Of course." Shiemi nodded. "I'll keep an eye on him."I walked into the class after Rin and with Shiemi close behind. Both of them sat down as I stared at the class. Since what had happened the classes got huge. It made me a bit nervous on the first day but I'm getting used to it. "Let's start." I said as I put chalk to the board. Throughout the entire lesson Rin seemed to be off on his own. Day dreaming about this and that as usual but he had the look of guilt and worry in his eyes. The class bell went and everyone started to leave. "Rin." I called as he swung the sword on his back and looked at me. "Stay here for a minute." I said calmly. Rin sighed and waited for all the other students to leave. "Sit down." I said when everyone left. He put the sword down on Shiemi's chair and sat down. "What's wrong?" I asked him. No answer. He just looked at the door, signalling that he wanted to leave. "Come on Rin." I said sounding concerned. He looked up at me at that time "You haven't been yourself lately what's bothering you?" Rin shrugged and didn't say anything. I sighed. I put my hands on the table and Rin looked up at me. "Please Rin. I'm worried." I said. Rin sighed. He picked up his things.
"I just don't want you to get hurt again." He said before walking off.
"I feel the same." I said as he was about to open the door.
"Thanks Yukio." He said and shut the door behind him. I sat down on his chair.
"Stay safe big brother." I said.
