Chapter One

It was my first day of school in a new town.  I looked down at my clothes wondering if it was ok for an eighth grader.  I was only fourteen after all.

I waited at the bus stop all alone and wondered how the day was going to go.  Will I meet new people?  Make some friends?

I saw the bus turn around the corner and come to a stop right in front of me.  I boarded the bus and looked up.  A wave of fear suddenly swept over me.  The bus was full of kids.

I didn't know anybody, didn't even have a place to sit.  I had just been standing in the middle of the isle, wearing white skinny jeans, a pink tank, a gray beenie, and pink converse, looking for an empty seat.  With my luck, there was none.  I was walking slowly down the isle looking for a friendly face when the bus started moving sending me falling into the nearest seat, and into a lap.  I scrambled up back onto my feet, when a hand met mine and pulled me back into the seat.  I parted my beach blond hair out of my eyes and met big green eyes full of laughter.

"Hey.  I'm Nate! Took a fall there, huh."  He said to me in a deep sexy voice.  I laughed nervously and tore my eyes away from his.

"  I just don't know where to sit.  I'm new.  Oh and I'm Kami."  I said in my annoyingly girly voice.   I twisted one of my rings around my finger, as I usually do when I'm nervous.

I looked up to his neck, noticing how tall he is, and saw two rings on a necklace around his neck.

" What are those for?"  I tried to ask in my most normal voice while pointing at the rings.

"Oh." He said picking them up.  " They are rings dedicated to my future girlfriend.  Kinda like promise rings."  I looked up into his face and noticed his eyes searching mine.  I looked back down at my hands and smiled.  I looked back up into his eyes while pulling off a simple ring from my pinkie.

"  Will you hold onto mine for me?  Give it back when you think the time is right."  He looked down into the small simple ring now in his hand.  He looked back up and smiled, taking off his necklace while doing so.

" Take one of mine to.  Give it back when you think I will need it."  As he placed the ring in my hand, the bus came to a stop in from of the school.

With one last glance, we both got off the bus and went our separate ways.  I looked to my left noticing a girl my age with the same style.  I decided to head in her direction.

I looked down to the small ring in my hand and noticed that on the top it had two small words engraved on the top.  I smiled while slipping the ring onto my finger, the words ringing in my head.

"Forever Yours."
