Chapter dedicated to Abigail_____Espinosa

I was twirling my hair and fixing my bennie as I walked up to the girl I had seen getting off the bus.  God I couldn't wait to drive.

She was staring down at her phone texting fast as her bright blue hair fell out from behind her ear. She looked up as I was walking towards her and waved a gentle with a smile.  She smiled back just as much as she shoved her phone down her bra.

" Hey, I'm Kami!"  I said cheerfully as I got closer.

" I'm Angela but please, please call me Angie.  I hate when people call me Angela.  Sounds like a stripper... "

I couldn't help but laugh at her openness.  We didn't even bother with a handshake.  We went straight in for a hug like we had been friends forever.

Angie looked me up and down.  Her eyes lingered on my hands as if counting how manly rings are on my hands.

"Thirteen." I said with a smile.

"What?" Angie said with a slight tone of disbelief in her voice.

"Thirteen rings, a nose and eyebrow piercing, and three ear piercings on each ear.  A lot of people have told me I probably have an addiction."  I said proudly with a slanted smirk.
Angie just gave me a look of approval as she lifted up her shirt to reveal a belly-button piercing, stuck out her tongue to show a tongue piercing and slid her hair aside to show two eyebrow piercings.

"I also have sixteen bracelets total and four necklaces."   We both grinned at each other and I instantly knew that we were going to be friends forever.  I pulled out my phone from my bra and turned on the camera.

"Selfie?"  I asked playfully and Angie only grinned in response.  I positioned my phone so that Angie's tongue was still in the shot along with some of my rings.  We took the picture and laughed looking back at the photo.  We just made eye contact when the bell ringed loudly, signalling that class was going to start any second.  Angie clicked her tongue.

"Saved by the bell, Blondie!"  We both laughed as she took my hand and pulled me into the swarming crowd of students filing in through the doors to get to class.  I smiled to myself looking at Angie and then down at my ring.  I smiled even harder when I realized that the day has only just begun.
