I stood in a dizzy daze, shifting from one state to another. I felt a hug weight being lifted from me. I wasn't under their control anymore.
I looked up, revealing a boy who had a confusing stare on me. Was this my savior? He must be.
"I can't believe it." My eyes met his. "I'm free!"
He still stared at me from head to toe. Why was he so confused? He did this all for me.
"You did it! No more cold! No more..."

Jess woke up, a bead of sweat on her forehead. Her visions had never been this advanced. Never.
She immediately snatched her journal from under her pillow. With a fancy pen in her hand, she jotted down the thoughts she had, her dialogue, and what her surroundings looked like, including the boy she had witnessed.
She already knew the boy was the key of this dream. Not because he stood out, but because this wasn't the only dream she's ever had about him. Before, they had all been photographic. This one was different. She had actually interacted with him, and he had also done something to her. She just didn't know what.
"Another one?" a groggy voice asked from behind Jess. She slowly turned her head to find a half awake half asleep Amanda. Many have mistaken the two for sisters, but they're not blood related at all.
"Yeah, but listen to this!" Jess whispered, making sure not to wake any of her roommates. She showed Amanda what she wrote down. "My dream wasn't a normal picture like it usually is; this time I could feel myself moving around. I just couldn't hear anything. It's like while I was talking, I couldn't hear anything, but I knew what I was saying. Does that make any sense?"
"Meh," Amanda answered. "Your power has advanced?" The two girls are Fairlies, as in fairly human. They have the normal advantages someone would have, but every Fairlie has a sixth sense. Amanda has telekinesis and Jess has clairvoyance.
"Yeah, and it had the same boy I've been dreaming of lately."
"What happened in it?" Amanda asked, peering over Jess' shoulder.
Jess explained to Amanda what happened. She told Amanda what she said, and what she was thinking of while it was happening.
"Do you know what this means?"
"Please don't say what I think you're going to say."
"We need to find him, Jess!"
"No! My dreams aren't always right, you know," Jess hissed, a little too loudly. One of their roommates started to move in their bed, only to twist around, and lay on her right side.
"But you've been having visions about the same boy almost every night! He must be important!" Amanda whispered harshly. "And if something is going to happen to you, and he's the only one to save you, then I will not stop until I find him!" Amanda looked Jess straight in the eyes. "Where did the dream take place?"
"I think there was giant castle in the background." Jess looked at the picture she drew. "See the picture?" As Amanda eyes first laid on the drawing, she immediately knew what it was.
"That's Cinderella's Castle, in Disney World! That must be in Orlando, Florida!" Amanda's tone turned serious. "There's this girl named Mattie Weaver. She's a Fairlie like us; she's empathetic. She's helped others get out of here! She can help us!"
Jess thought for moment until replying, "Fine. I'll do it." Jess glanced around the room. "So, how do we find her?"
"She's right here." A voice came from the doorway of their room. Jess saw a girl with olive skin, dark hair with red tips at the end, and full red lips. She assumed this was Mattie. "Now, let's get this over with." Jess saw a grin on Amanda's face. Amanda had something to do with this. She just knew it.

Mattie led Amanda and Jess down a secret corridor.
"So, how do you know about this?" Amanda asked Mattie.
"My first day here, when I met Ms. Emma, the widow that owns Barracks 14, and I shook her hand, I saw a lot of her past. I went so deep that I saw a map of the whole orphanage." Mattie pulled out an old folded map from her pocket, that looked like someone had just drawn it. "It shows every nook and cranny, including secret passage ways like this one." She referred to the one they were in right now.
They continued down until they got to a small doorway.
"You'll go through this doorway, and down another hallway. At the end of that, you'll see a door that will lead you outside, got it?" Mattie explained. Amanda and Jess nodded. "Good. See you on the flip side." Mattie walked the opposite way, leaving Amanda and Jess alone.
Without hesitation, they pushed open the creaking door, and took long strides until reaching the one leading outside. Never did they second guess any of this. Never did they ever wonder how much their lives would change after walking through that door. Never did they wonder why Jess would need saving.
Never did they wonder why or how a boy named Lawrence Finnegan Whitman would help save Jess.
